Such a voice, seems to be an ancient voice. A voice from the mountains... When she sings I walk up a holler that leads to an old farm house. I see the smoke from the chimney. I hear a mountain woman yellin' to the pigs, "Soo pig!" I smell the chicken cookin' as it crackles in a pan. Don't stop Sierra, don't stop singin, I want to stay there, in the past, I was happier then, and we were all better off in the hills. I hope you understand how precious your voice is. The images it can place in peoples minds, the memories it can resurrect are truly medicine to lonely souls.

She sounds like she has a pierced tongue to me. Kind of gives her that lisp sound. Other than that the vibrato and scratchiness in her voice do give it an older phonograph sound 30's sound. I like it.

@@louisehalleur5863 no doubt. She's an absolute national treasure. I've never hard of her, or heard a single song until she randomly showed up thanks to really weird youtube results. I've been blown away by every single thing I've listened to since then. She simply has it, and seemingly without a single drop of sweat. Unreal!

It’s so beautiful how she can take simple chords that require beginner skills but delivers them like gold. Her voice and phrasing just gives new life to G C A and it’s very inspiring. You don’t need to be technically advanced you just need a message and passion. Good life lesson if I do say so myself. Something we should all live by

Jeez, I don’t know which version I like more; this intimate and introspective one or the more recent bolder one featuring Billy Strings. I think they’re both great but I believe I like this version more. What a great tallest Sierra is!

Im from wv grew up hearing old music at my grandma's house at a cattle farm on tge side of a mountain up there moved away for work but singers like sierra keep my soul happy and take me back home as a child in memory . love the music so beautiful her and her songs im a fan after the first song i heard

I've been following Sierra for a couple of years and the new recordings are the best things she's done. Still bummed that the coronavirus kept me from seeing her in concert back in April.
