Sydney, thank you for telling your story. It was such a brave thing to show when you were at such a vulnerable point. You are a stand-up dude. Few would offer someone they are dating a place to stay, rent-free, without the expectation of monetary contribution. Let alone having someone there and a cleaner was coming. You were a blessing to someone who was so messed up that they weren't even grateful. I know right now it seems that the storm is still brewing, but I want you to know your blessing is coming. That woman’s family is not just tired. They have assessed the costs of having her around and decided to NOT have her around any longer. They’ve cut their losses. I had to slide for this part 2!😂 I am happy, though, that he and the dog made it out safely ❤ When Syd talked about the girl telling other people lies and defaming his character. I am so happy that Syd didn't stress or worry because when you have REAL FRIENDS who know your character, personality and they have REALTIONSHIP with you, the lies that her and her family try to make stick won't stand nor hold weight. Syd, when you were saying the takeway for you for your ownership in that scenario was you were being disobedient to (god? or your friends, intuition ) for not listening to the signs and ending it earlier is tough! And it comes down to prioritizing your self love/worth committing to your boundaries and not compromising your self respect to be in a relationship. You can be a solid dude and not be a people pleaser. That is so hard and it takes training to move with faith versus fear. And one another validating symbol to recognize when your compromising self. There will never be peace. It will always be stressful and chaos. Blessing to you. I hope you continue to heal through such betrayal. This podcast is a good step to go about it. 🙏🏽

Great episodes! And I truly feel like if you wouldn't have taken that first step away from the apartment she definitely would have tried to harm you physically. A huge flag with her is she had NOTHING to lose....whereas you have EVERYTHING. Those two dynamics will NEVER mesh well in ANY kind of relationship. Because she had nothing to lose...she could act a whole entire azz and tear up your place without an ounce of remorse or accountability. Her own family was through fooling with her! She was JEALOUS of you, your success, and no doubt the genuine love that others have for you. Being with someone on your 'level' goes far beyond material things... peeling back the layers as far as character traits/how they behave in times of disappointment, sadness, anger etc are all important to note. So glad you learned from this and whenever you choose to date again, I truly hope you all are equally yoked and she is just as kind/nurturing as you seem to be!

Baby! Keep these epsiodes coming! Great story telling and i love how introspective you are. This is a great show and concept. She was definitely wrong. Manipulative, attention seeking, splitting. Toccara is absolutely right about the family being tired of her. The mother's response after you contacted her for reimbursement may be a sign the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.
