I like what he says about sign posts. Don't see them as the destination. Even Eckhart himself is only a sign post. It HAS to be experienced. There's no label or words really for the experience. It's a KNOWING a remembering of self. Every one of us are unique and yet part of the whole. Just as each river flowing from the ocean is still a part of the ocean, yet has all of it's own properties and landscapes as it moves along the land.

Eckhart is such a rare and great teacher. Presence truly is the hub of the spiritual universe and if we get SO present to lose our self-identity and self-importance we can enter the portal into the quantum field..or God and create our reality from that which created everything. this IS spiritual awakening..and "superhuman" gifts awaits the one who takes presence to this high level and finds the path to self-actualization....BTW, great take on the educational system. I was standing in Hanalei, overlooking the surf..A tourist walked up next to me, a few moments passed, then she said, “that noise gets on my nerves, it would really bother me after a while”I looked around thinking possible jobsite noise?? I said, what noise? she pointed down at the waves & said, “that!” I walked away just a few steps thinking , best to get away from “that” lol.. I had to say something., could not..so I said, you know, it changes every day every minute every second always there’s something different!!. & sometimes, it’s quiet. I notice she didn’t smile.

Dear Eckhart, I've been reading your books and listening to your talks for a few years. They've helped me through so much turmoil in my life. I'm sorry for posting this question here, as it doesn't seem like the right place, but I've been always wanting to ask you (kind of like your audience members ask you questions) the following question: How do you stay present in a job in the long term that requires very frequent contact with unconscious people (people who are deeply suffering because of a mental and/or physical disability and from being disenfranchised). I help people like this in my job, and no matter how hard I try to practice mindfulness and being in the present moment, I get knocked off balance when talking to people who are deeply distressed and sometimes directing those emotions at me (even though I know it's not personal). I all too often face "emotional dumping" by the people I help in my job, and I find myself affected by having to witness so much pain body coming from so many people.

Love, faith, Free-flow, Joy, Energy, Healing, Discernment, Creativity, Wisdom, Fun, Integrity, Not-knowing, Lucidity, Positivity, Openness, ....

When I was around 10 years old, I would lay in bed and try to “think about nothing”- but then I kept realizing I was still THINKING about thinking about nothing. 😂 Shortly after that, as just a child, I went into the bathroom and stared at myself in the mirror. I was actually a bit jealous of my friend’s parents at the time, and starting thinking about what my life would be like if I had been born with different parents. This suddenly turned into my brain exploding with the realization of how insane the chances are that I was even alive- that I was born to MY parents, not someone else. I believe I had a bit of a spiritual awakening! I think I had a smaller one in 2nd grade- I was sitting at my desk and it dawned on me that all the other students around me were experiencing a separate, different perspective/reality from mine. I know this sounds silly, but it was an awakening for a 7 year old little girl. Lol. I’ve always wondered if other people experienced these things in their childhoods, and so far haven’t met anyone else who has. When I looked in the mirror that day, after weeks of trying to wrap my 10 year old mind around the concept of infinity, time, and how “I” was aware that I was thinking about “nothing”- I became aware of my consciousness. I stared into my eyes in the mirror in complete wonder and awe thinking to myself “who am I?”.. “who is in there?” Lol… I became aware that I was not who my thoughts were, without even realizing it. I have no words to explain it properly!

Emptiness is the exact word that great Sophie poet, RUMI,thousand years ago,used a lot in his poems as a pointer I am really amazed how Eckhart and Rumi saying the same things

I didn't want to watch this video because I was angry at the world and was in a bad state of mind. I thought I was getting tired of Eckhart Tolle: clearly my ego is kicking and screaming about the changes I think I'm making: I am so glad I watched this video: It had synchronicities with my thoughts. I thought about birds and then he started talking ab out birds!

I like listening to these teachings, and just being in this presence as it even comes across the laptop in front of me. This time I did wonder about the comment about this teaching not being found in churches, and “they wont explain it to you, of course”. As in the rest of society you will find awakened people, also masters and teachers in all the religions, also in churches. And reading the great christian mystics the teachings are there also historically. So I found it a strange comment.

When trying to connect with inner body I used to be faced with blockages Now I’m able to connect fully and sometimes to the depth of feeling warm sunshine vibration Whenever I’m mentally anxious due to getting outside my comfort zone inner body connection helps ALOT I get into a state where I feel calm and safe and my perception is big I’m not able to maintain it outside meditation sessions tho Rn I noticed I’m getting sick of my patterns and losing hope in things getting better I have an urge to drop all mental constructs because it doesn’t matter It sounds like despair and it kinda is lol but at least it feels more real than any of my past trials to make things better that ends up being false hope I hope this comment motivates you to keep going

I have posted this comment before and I will continue to do so because I am really, really hoping that Mr. Tolle will address my question eventually. How can one be a spiritual teacher, talk about enlightenment etc, and at the same time, eat meat and therefore contribute to the immense suffering of living beings? This is a question I've been lately asking myself. Mr. Tolle's videos and books have helped me a lot but I feel it's hypocritical to teach about enlightenment and eat meat at the same time. I would also appreciate other people's views on this, thank you.

Thank you for this brilliant teaching. And on the subject of Jesus and his teaching I would love to know Ekharts thought on why Jesus broke bread with the disciples and described it as his body same with the wine. What's the significance of this in light of the new understanding?

The cloud of unknowing.

The moment we try to explain what neither we or anyone else can possibly know for sure we are sharing our beliefs opinions ideas not facts and truths, and if we are being honest with ourselves and others we should openly express our opinion ideas beliefs for what they are, no more no less. I don't see how anyone can claim to be awakened when they themselves can not separate the unknowable truth from thier personal opinions feelings and beliefs of the truth. It really is OK to not know all the answers and equally it really is OK to trust in something much bigger than us all without creating a story to explain that something bigger to ourselves and others. Neither science or religion are comfortable with not knowing so they create stories to fill in the gaps but it's not necessary to know everything to be happy, in fact if you simply swap thinking and the need to know for simply trusting, then life suddenly becomes much simpler and happier at that very moment.
