Slight spoilers for campaign 1 items the party don't have in the show. Yeah, with tiberius nixed they also had to remove all the magic items he made the group. So no earrings or scanlans cone or grogs chain of returning.

@@AnxietyRat They kept Vex's Blazing Bowstring though, its one of only two magic attacks she has actually used. Really hope they give more of her spells back next season, she's barely a ranger without them or her bear, she's hardly more than "bossy person who's good with a bow" this season 😓

I recognized her from the moment Delilah spoke and I was _thrilled._ I read that Grey Griffin was initially hired to provide a scratch recording for Delilah (which is essentially when a voice actor or even a crew member voices a character as a placeholder for editing and to give casting directors a general idea of how a character ought to sound), but The Critical Role group loved her performance so much they just cast her for the role.

I think it kinda fits together - the show version has super-intuition. Not a D&D thing but it can work if you don't tie yourself to those rules too much.

I didn't like how it could communicate "telepathy" to the uninitiated.

Yeah, also from the game perspective her ability to sense dragons is the adaptation of the ranger's class ability "favored enemy". It let's a ranger track certain creature types better and gain information about them.

Lots of shows have had a thing where twins can sense when the other one is in trouble. Some people believe that's a real world thing.

I really liked that touch. Very much a "blink and you'll miss it" detail that still provides worthwhile information!

@@Drocksas What's funny is I just noticed while rewatching this episode that at the end of the episode, Sylas also doesnt have a reflection in the water.

It was a really clever way to inform the audience about whose a vamp. But judging from the number of blind reactors who didn't catch that, it's clearly not enough. I wonder what else they could have done to hammer the fact into people. You might need something as blunt as "Ah, me and my non vampire but very necromantic wife wife"

Way too many shows belittle the intelligence of their viewer by dumbing down dialogue to spell things out for their audience like they're toddlers. The fact that LOVM doesn't and instead leaves just enough breadcrumbs for you to pick up on something is one of the things admire in it, writing-wise. Besides, if you can't figure it out then, you are definitely shown later when that particular part of the story becomes more of the focus. Yet another important part of a show or film: SHOW, don't tell.

They had earrings that functioned like walkie talkies...not radios. But yeah they made into a twin thing for the show.

Honestly, as much as I love all the characters (including the beary best boi Trinket), Grog and Pike's friendship is just the most wholesome thing, and I live for it.

@@_Lolo_13 they don't, I think they were removed as the player who was kicked out of the group thretend to sue critical role for having the character he played apper as a cameo in a comic book, if I remember correctly form the little I know of the campaign version of C1 that player made them. So I guess it's a way to avoid the threat of sue again. Or it's becouse this is easyer to explain

@Ang3lica_Schuyl3r yeah..he also threw a tantrum on social media when they canonly killed his character off in the campaign...he's absolutely petty enough to sue. It's ridiculous. The origin comic is the only other thing tiberius appears in.

And yes, Those are all real vampires I fought in D&D campaigns, and also yes the magical inventor is an actual class you can play. Its called Artificer, and other subclasses include things like robot sidekicks, inventing random potions, and of course a GUN. God this game is great

Yeah, it's an adaptation of how it went down in the game, which was Vax alerting the group via his Jenga call through the party's magical communication earrings and Vex using her Hunter's Mark ability that she had placed on Delilah earlier (a Ranger ability that marks someone or something as her quarry with the intent to do a little bonus damage but it also lets her sense the target's position so long as it remains in range) to track that at least Delilah had moved from upstairs to the front courtyard. Changing it to being twin-sense was a good shorthand for the series to avoid bogging things down by explaining her powers.
