Because Zacharias expressed doubt in God’s promise, he was rendered silent until the promise was fulfilled. In this sermon, R.C. Sproul continues his series in the gospel of Luke to address the serious consequences of unbelief.

God bless Ligonier Ministries for keeping RC Sproul sermons Alive. We ( This World) needs to hear these TRUTHS spoken through RC straight from the Word of God. Heaven has gained another Saint but sadly the world 🌎 has lost him. There will never be another replacement for the articulate way RC related to many people from all different religion and non religious beliefs. Once more it’s meant sincerely Thank you 🙏🏼

@@briendoyle4680 Disprove the claim, Brien. One doesn't disprove "facts." If they are truly facts, they are disprovable. One only seeks to disprove claims. We claim Jesus rose from the dead, disprove it if you don't believe it. If we don't "prove" it beyond a reasonable doubt, it remains a claim open to be disproven if possible. Therefore, we don't need to "prove" there is a God for one to attempt to disprove it. It stands as a claim. We assert that it is a fact because of what we know and believe of His existence. If you don't believe our claims, it is your job to disprove them. It is completely illogical to assert that one has to "Prove" something before it is "disprovable." It is a PROVEN fact that the human body needs sustenance to survive. That is Proven. You can't disprove it. It's a fact. You can't disprove that fact. If we proved God to be a fact, you could not disprove it. It would be a proven fact. Not disprovable. What you are saying is completely illogical because by demanding something to be "proven" before you attempt to disprove it would therefore completely remove all possibilities of disproving something. It would be impossible because there could be no possibility to disprove anything because nothing could be disproven if it is already proven. It is only possible to disprove CLAIMS. We claim God exists. If you disbelieve it, it is therefore your job to disprove it. If we have to Prove God exists before you attempt to disprove it, why then have there been so many attempts, by many highly intelligent scientists, to disprove the resurrection of Jesus Christ? To disprove the existence of God? To disprove claims of the Bible? To disprove the myriad claims of Christianity? Oh, and btw Brien, I noticed you haven't listed any posts you have made to Muslims being wrong about their god, their claims of faith, their Koran, or anything else Muslim. You only choose to deal with Christians. Why is that, Brien? One would think you're afraid of Muslims. Are you Brien? If you're not, list a copy of your arguments with Muslims. Or, list the address we can go to to see your arguments with Muslims. :D

John 6 28 Then they said to him, “What must we do, to be doing the works of God?” 29 Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.” Knowing God, obeying God, loving God is always contingent on first realizing His actions toward us. May we know His complete work, love, and condescension provided in Christ and respond in new life.

In John 3.18 we are told that unbelief in Christ is enough, in itself, to be condemned; also in John 8.24 Jesus made it clear that unbelief in Him would mean that we die in our sins.

When both my brother and I were younger we both experienced The Lord Jesus communicating with us. My brother heard His voice in 1976 during a life and death situation and reacted accordingly; he believed The Lord AND my brother lives today. My turn came in 2005 when I had a visitation from an angel and I was thinking about relating to someone I knew close by what I was witnessing in the sky overhead when, one angel very very bright white turned bright red AND I did not relate to anyone until now what had happened. I knew it to be important not to relate this visitation to a particular person I knew because of personal safety reasons. I can read about Zechariah and for the moment place myself in his position but what would come out of my mouth would be totally different. I and my brother accept Our Lord's words as is, without question for we both know that in the question that is where sin slumbers waiting to awaken.

Mr. Doyle to everyone on this planet and also anywhere throughout this universe there comes a day when their mortality is put to the test. How you face your test will be your business and only your business. When facing certain death I know The Lord Jesus is there at that juncture in time; I will await Him.

The theme of the Bible is one of Doubt and Fear vs. Belief and Trust. Over and over this theme emerges in the accounts recorded. YHVH repeats these so we can learn that Belief and Trust to obey Him and do His commandments are what YHVH wants from us. Faith is something you do. Abraham was accounted righteousness because he Did as YHVH commanded to take his son to the altar. His faith was perfected in his doing (works), in his obedience.

I would take into consideration that Zacharias also had a lot more learning up until that point because this is the New testament so he had the whole Old testament behind him and he was a priest in the holies of holies I mean that's got to have something to do with it also so God is just either way
@georgeburks3755

Zacharias was not a priest in the Holy of Holies because he was not the high priest. Luke 1:23 When the days of his priestly service were concluded, he went back home. Hebrews 9:7 but into the second, only the high priest enters once a year, not without taking blood which he offers for himself and for the sins of the people committed in ignorance. Exodus 30:10

I was thinking this too. There is a general principle that how much "light" we have been given is often considered in the punishment. Reference when Jesus pronounced the woes on the cities that had seen him perform miracles yet had not believed, even saying it would be better for Sodom on the Day of Judgment that for those cities. Zacharias had the entire testimony of the OT (including that of Abraham) to show God doing things that seemed impossible.

Its good to read the Present with Religion, a book for free on the internet.The book is about the trurh of life and it shows the full picture of life for the first time so that you may stop being deceived by the world and be able to follow the steps of Jesus and other prophets to Heaven.Knowing the truth is the key factor in our salvation.We must know the truth and live in it and change ourselves accorsinf to it in order to be saved.There is no other way to our salvation.With the knowledge of the truth there comes true repentance which means changing our minds and also true onediance to God' a law and finally our sanctification which is a lifelong process.And God In His mercy will give us His wonderful grace which is the time and ablity to make the proper change.Only in this way will we be able to attain our eternal salvation.Our task is to find this narrow gatw that leads to God and do it quickly and stay on it till the end no matter what.Then and only then we will be saved.There is nothing more important or serious to do in this fallen world as our eternal fate depends on it.

Scripture does not teach Jesus died for the whole world and there should be no controversy because scripture says: John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Matthew 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Scripture is 2 Timothy 3:16
