Silent Fan Razor Core X eGPU modification. In reality it is not fan-less but the whole setup runs without using the fans. The PSU does not turn the fan up to more than 300 W of load. Video Card does not run fans above 50 C.
PSU used is Ion SFX-L 650 Gold

Tempted to change the one in my Chroma too, the fan in the stock PSU is very annoying.

yes indeed. The more expensive PSUs have this temperature tolerance that makes them quite until they hit certain temperature. I wish there was a way to better control the big fan which unfortunately runs all the time

Can you use the old razer core psu in a computer ?

Hi, I do not think it will work because it does not have enough cables like the ones for the IDE/SATA. It has only 2 PCI-E plus the main 24 pin plus the board cable and that is all.

Do you plug in the cpu or pcie connectors to the p2 ports on the motherboard?

I do not think there are is P2 connectors on the board. For the motherboard of the Razor Core X you need the 24pin, CPU. PCI E goes on the card itself. I used the P2 to power my fan replacement directly.

@Bonyo Bonev I figured it out on my own but I said P2 cause the OEM razer PSU has labels on the connectors p2, p3, but they're just the CPU and PCIE cords like you said.

@@CGC0.1 I guess you are referring to the labeling of the Razor cables. Razor core does not have P2 in general. 24 pin is for the big block, PCIE are for the card. There is one more connection which you might be referring to and that goes to the board.
