We hiked a section of the Lakeshore Trail at this park, and it was beautiful. Not an easy hike with lots of hills and some creeks to cross without a bridge, but we enjoyed it very much. The whole Lakeshore Trail is 15 km and goes around Silent Lake. We hiked a 3.5 section to a beautiful lake lookout and then back again.
We stayed in a cabin at Silent Lake Provincial Park. The cabin was gorgeous! It felt very new with lots of pine. It was clean and private.
The cabin had a queen bed and a bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom and a twin bed on top. There was a table and a propane fireplace that made the cabin nice and warm after a cold winter hike.
The cabin has electricity, a microwave, a kettle and a small fridge. Outdoors is a fire pit (and they have fire wood at the park to buy), a picnic table and a barbecue.
There is no washroom in the cabin, so you have to walk up to 300m to a heated washroom/shower house.
