Peggy Holds a degree in Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising from Brigham Young University. As a mother to four sons, Peggy spends her time divided between teaching and creating new patterns for Silhouette Patterns, a line of contemporary patterns available to the home sewer. During her career she has taught college courses in pattern drafting and design. She professionally drafts patterns for individuals and manufacturers all across the country ranging from golf apparel to black tie performances. In addition to apparel designs, Peggy has designed the patterns of the costumes worn by the Mens Olympic Figure Skating Gold Medalist, Elvis Stojko.

Peggy, great ideas on how to create the pattern for princess seams, thank you. But please do not use a black garment for showing the seams, embellishments, etc. None of it shows up on the sceen. When another color (white) is added then we can see what you are explaining. The black and white top was gorgeous and showed off the asymmetrical concept you were describing. I understand the choice of black since garments usually are available in that color & as an addition to your wardrobe; however, the details are non existing on screen. If anyone knows any changes I can make to my device so that details on black fabric become visible, please share them. Peggy does such an awesome job. I hate not seeing what she is discussing.

Do you remove the seam allowance from the shoulder to the bottom of the blouse and then restore the 3/8 seam allowance?

Do you think princess seams become a non-curvy figure? They don’t feel comfortable on me though I like that the y give the appearance of curves

They are about fit, not shape of figure, therefore they are the best for every figure shape and size.

@@angienorman5974 Not true...our princess seams fit very well. There are great key points to drafting a princess seam pattern that can fit many...ours include those points. I would invite you to try one of our princess seams, make no changes, and make up a muslin in your size and cup size in the pattern.

Everytime I watch pbs series fit 2 stitch I get so angry I want to scream!!! I'm telling you this series has really bad camera operators. Today on OETA she went over scarves, Hermes and others. You can't learn anything from this show, the cameras or the editors don't allow you too, or if Peggy has the say-so on camera views, she needs her head adjusted cause what good is showing us something we could learn if all we can see is Peggy from across the room instead of a close up of what she's talking about?? Do you realize this show has been on for several seasons and not one episode is worthy of viewers time because the technical side of this teaching series is crap. PLEASE FIX THIS
