Peggy Holds a degree in Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising from Brigham Young University. As a mother to four sons, Peggy spends her time divided between teaching and creating new patterns for Silhouette Patterns, a line of contemporary patterns available to the home sewer. During her career she has taught college courses in pattern drafting and design. She professionally drafts patterns for individuals and manufacturers all across the country ranging from golf apparel to black tie performances. In addition to apparel designs, Peggy has designed the patterns of the costumes worn by the Mens Olympic Figure Skating Gold Medalist, Elvis Stojko.

So this sleeve may not be as flattering for full busted or people who want a longer/leaner look? Might there be limitations on how long your kimono sleeve can be if the CF is on a fold and the wearer has large circumference measurements?

I love the casual look of a kimono sleeve but I have sloping shoulders and they just aren’t flattering on me.

She just showed us how to lay over the sleeve pattern over the chest pieces to minimize the amount of material on the sides. Taylor it to your pattern so you can enjoy a kimono jacket/blouse. Cheers!

You can also wear it on top of a blouse that has a pad at the shoulder. - Debbie has a video with instructions on how to increase the sleeve opening by adding the amount of the thickness of the pad. That's how you make a padded blouse to wear under your kimono jacket
