If you put vinegar down the drain, after the baking soda, it should react with any undisolved soda and bubble, loosening up debris and hair. Heck, pour straight baking soda down before the vinegar. It's amazing what that can knock loose.

I’m so thankful for the internet. This video helped me after three annoying months of trying other solutions to unclog my bathtub drain. It feels really good to be able to help myself and learn skills without having to rely on others. You're smart for learning this stuff young. I always had boyfriends most of my younger life. Now I'm a single middle aged woman and having to learn this stuff! It's stressful but it feels so good when I manage to do something and avoid calling a professional. And next time I'm in a relationship, he won't have to do everything for me, lol.

Depending on the size of the batch, 1:1 is a LOT of Dawn. I used to use a lot too, then started adding only about 4 squirts in a cup or more of vinegar. Still gets the job done with minimal scrubbing.

I have a drum trap and it gets clogged up pretty easily. I used a snake and pulled out a huge fir ball loaded with soap scum. I replaced my drain grate with the TubShroom. Probably the first As Seen on TV product that actually works. I clean plenty of hair off of it every week and thankfully it no longer gets down my drain. No issues in over a year.

home depot sells cheap gutter guards that are a plastic with a mesh top. i installed those and havent cleaned gutters in years, or even had a clog because everything stays on top and the wind blows it off. in fall, you can attach a long tube to your leaf blower and really blow the heavy leaves off (if any), but its a remarkably simple way to keep gutters clean for good.
