Chills... Literally chills. This is a song that I can't even just plink out on the piano and I gave up years ago. The key that this song is written in has 3 flats and it befuddles me completely! That entire piano intro and tag was the creation of Wrecking Crew musician, the late Larry Knetchel... He was awarded a Grammy for his piano arrangement... A multi talented musician, Knetchel also played bass on The Byrd's Mr Tambourine Man and guitar on Breads Guitar Man...

Thank you for mentioning Larry Knechtel. He was a musical genius who played on thousands of recordings from the late 50’s until his passing in 2009. I hope people will Google his name and see his amazing discography!

This is so beautiful words cannot describe, litteraly. I have heard this three times before, could not appreciate it or comprehend it, but now for the fourth time it was unbeliveable. It is always a mark for true quality when one cannot hear or see but is still curious about it, and after several attemps gets it. But not only gets it, for the first time actually see a sparkle of magic, which is something one truely doesn't come by often.

I was only 6 when this song first aired on the radio and knew then that it was special. You did such a nice job of expressing the feelings of the original.
