There's nothing more exciting than catching big carp off the surface! Join me at Oxfordshire day-ticket water Orchid Lakes as I go chasing thirty-pounders up close and personal. I talk you through my approach to what I call heron stalking, the tackle and bait I use and then show you how I draw the fish in close, before picking out the biggest carp in the lake and hooking it live on camera. Greetings from Hungary. Here too many people fish for carp, we learn a lot from you, and there are a lot of huge carp in Lake Balaton ... I have already caught 50kg of parts. I saw wonderful pictures, congratulations on the videos.

@@SimonCrow You have to try the river Tisza once too ... here a 4 5 kilogram carp, due to the power of the river, is stronger and faster. It's like a 5 kilogram barbel ....

What a video up close and personal well in Simon use to do a lot off this when I was younger down at white acres on sycamore lake with me waggler rod but with floating bread use to have some cracking video footage on an old video camera recorder lol

I’d love to see a fisherman of you’re calibre come and Fish Stowepool in Lichfield, Staffordshire. It’s a pool with amazing potential. Costs next to nothing to fish. But is very hard pool. So many anglers blank it. There’s carp up to 30lb. And as always great video

It’s floating mate but I don’t use it for hooklinks, I prefer our zig line for those
