In this video, you’re going to learn how to effectively setup a multi-camera streaming system in churches. Multi-camera systems allow for super dynamic shots and immersive footage, keep online viewers more engaged and enhance their visual experience. In this video, we are going to cover the gears you need, camera layout, device connections and operational techniques. Without further ado, let's dive into this setup.
First, let's understand what makes up a multi-camera system. Now, we are running four PTZ cameras FoMaKo 20SDI, they are incredible cameras which produce a great image, and we have a PTZ controller, which can control all these cameras efficiently, it’s also coming from the brand which ensures the compatibility. And then we have a HDMI video switcher KC601 Pro, it can stream directly to 4 platforms simultaneously, record video, rich transition modes, chroma key and 4 HDMI input preview. These components work together to provide multiple angles and shots during live streams.
When positioning cameras, we need to consider capturing key scenes and activities within the church. Placing a camera in front of the main stage on the ceiling allows for capturing speeches. Additionally, positioning other cameras at worship band area and in different corners of the church facing the congregation provides varied perspectives and scenes.
Next, the other accessories you need: A PoE(power over ethernet) switch can automatically assign IP address to the cameras, controller and the switcher, and power up all of them, so make sure to grab one for more flexible installation. Then you will need HDMI cables to send signal to the switcher. If you are running cables more than 50 feet, a HDMI extender will help you in those long distance runs. After linking these gears, it's essential to ensure correct device connection and configurations.
Now, let's demonstrate how it works. First, search IP addresses of 4 camera using the controller, IP over Visca is the most stable protocol, add them accordingly to the shortcut keys. Then, we can easily adjust camera angles, focus, and exposure for clear and quality shots. Go to the configuring settings and turn off DHCP, so the cameras’ IP won’t change when you reboot.
Last, I’ll give you a overview of streaming content to streaming platforms.. This switcher can simultaneously push streams to three platforms and USB real-time live streaming. Go to the switcher menu, select Network Settings, find out switcher’s IP, and then input the IP address on a webpage to check three streaming codes. And then you will be able to send your live streming video feed to social platforms like KZfaq, Facebook, Twitch, etc...
Hope you can get an idea of how it can work with your space, or for your event. If you budget for multi-camera streaming system is around 3000, FoMaKo PTZ kit is definitely a good option
