Very surprised at how few subscribers you have. Your work is great and easy to digest; thanks a ton for educating all the future climbers

This is very useful for tip tying a branch so it comes down butt first in a tight spot !

I was wondering if you could possibly make a video on unboxing and setting up new gear for all the new climbers out there, I’ve recently started climbing and rigging trees myself and just want any extra tips and pointers I can get

Good tips! Thanks for sharing it, You tell in this video that a mechanical device does more damage to a rope than a prusic with rope! why do people switch to a Petzl zigzag instead of a prusic with a Rope Wrench? the Petzl Zigzag is not midline attachable, and you can apply a prusic anywhere.

Hey Patrick! I know which vid you could do that would be immensely useful : all the configurations in which you limb walk : long horizontal limb, descending limb, vertical limb without side branches... tie in point on top of the limb, or to the side, tie in point on branch moving away from the one we are limb walking... I hope you'll do that vid... I can climb many trees, but I get defeated by many limb walks, especially when ited in near the trunk and going very far on tiny limbs.

Great idea, limb walking is a very complex and nuanced topic. All in good time my friend! - Patrick

Yeah, it would require a lot of footage to put such a vid together... As you're both great at our job and at teaching, it would be a blessing if you made such a vid. As time and schedule permit! Take care and thanks for everything you're doing on YT.

Have you ever had the bolt bend that's in the pulley or the side plate bend from the tension, where the pulley is designed to be used with both side plates closed ?? But great fast ideas.
@TreeMuggs_PatrickM6 жыл бұрын
Shane Aubuchon No, but I should have added that I wouldn't ever pull on this setup with more than 2 people for this reason. - Patrick
@natoyilively93796 жыл бұрын
don't know if you've seen it, stein sells a pulley specifically for this scenario. bit pricey, but if you are concerned about normal pulleys and use this set up a lot, probably worth it www.treestuff.com/store/catalog.asp?category_id=282&item=1634

what would you use if you have a 3/4 inch rigging line?
@TreeMuggs_PatrickM5 жыл бұрын
Can use a bigger pulley, or even just a biner will give you a good bit of MA... - Patrick
