We catch a break in the weather and head out on an incredible journey to the Kenai Peninsula for salmon fishing. Wildlife, nature, and sightseeing were all a part of this jammed packed 600 mile trip. We process our catch at home and enjoy a summer meal.
We appreciate you tagging along for our Alaskan adventure 😀
Thank you for watching and supporting our channel! 💙

Oh my gosh. How can I ever begin to comment on this video. It’s epic. I’ll never make it to Alaska, but I loved every minute of your fishing expeditions. I really wish I could live the life you both live. The canning/smoking piece at the end was wonderful. It all looked so good. I am amazed also at the detail of draining the water over your celery. And the denouement….those sandwiches, with skin crackles. OMG. You guys have long, long, long surpassed the Foxfire series. Each of your videos seems to surpass the previous. Please don’t stop making videos. Even if you feel you are repeating, which you have not yet. I’m sure I’m not the only one out here that has a great envy for your youth, your ability to do what you do, and all that you impart to us. Thank you again.

Even the scenery at a toll booth in Alaska is astounding. What many people don't realize, in Alaska people can become food, I imagine the bears were using the trail for the same reason people do, it's easier. This video is actually better than Nat Geo, a lot more insightful and down to earth. Thanks a lot for the exceptional video.

Making memories is what life is about. I seen a bear and 2 cubs in Wyoming hiking up the Grand Tetons. She stood up on her hind legs and gave a nice rawr then her cubs walked down the mountain. Not going to lie I thought I was dead. But she calmly went on her way once her cubs was out of sight. Nice video. Can't wait to see the out house being built and the other cabin.

I have become obsessed with everything Alaska. My daughters are WWOOF’ers on a Peony Farm in Homer all summer and every day I’m so grateful they are having this experience. They take boats to glaciers, hike to waterfalls, forage, avoid curious bears, fish, camp solo…u name it. Not to mention the skills they learned during Peony season. Every time we FaceTime they look older and more self assured. This weekend they are taking a 14 hour ferry to Kodiak Island and then joining the pilgrimage on Spruce Island. They are living their best life & it makes my mom heart happy 🌸 🐻 🎣

Oh man.. this is one of those videos I will always truly treasure. It made me get so emotional for a life I don’t have. I’m 27 years old, from a small town in Southern California, I just graduated nursing school but my heart yearns to experience what I’ve seen in this video with my own eyes. We are so lucky to have this technology and share these adventures with each other and I’m so grateful for your content. My skin got chills seeing that mama bear sniff the air with her three babies in tow. Then the mama otter feeding her babies as well. Every time a new video is posted, I think of all the ways I can ask you guys to take me in for 2 weeks and let me work for y’all in return for the best experiences of my life. Hahaha Then ending the video with that quote really struck me. What is my dream and what steps can I make to get there? Hmmm…

Oh my heck, It seems like every time I say this.. but oh my gosh guys this was your best video yet. I can watch this over and over and get so much enjoyment out of it each time. I loved the bear encounter and how much respect you gave it. So cute to see those three cubs with it. Also I love how you captured that little sea otter family. That was cute. I love the enthusiasm you guys have for fishing, it serves you well it seems. I love the respect you have for the harvest, I mean you use every bit that’s available. Once again I think to myself, and now I’m sharing with others, the two best ambassadors for Alaska just might be you guys.! This is Vaughn, and you messaged me a couple weeks ago and said to get back with you, so here I am getting back with you because it seems like I tried texting that number you gave me and I probably just didn’t do it right I’m not sure. So let’s try it again if you don’t mind and thank you so much for sharing your Alaska with me and my family. P.s. What are your thoughts on the French press built into those obviously really good thermoses? I can’t believe you guys fit all that into 48 hours. And oh man those burgers look so good. I want to come rob your stash of bottled salmon. I am going to sit right back and put it up full screen once again, and enjoy this video that you have shared with us. Thank you thank you and keep on fishing and gardening, it serves you well.

Wow great trip. Fantastic video. Excited for your fish haul, but even more for the multiple types, locations, and techniques. Every year y’all get better and more efficient with timing and skill. Thank you.

I saw the bear and yelled, "Bear!" in the quiet of my room. 🤣 That was definitely intense and I'd say you had to have gotten some perfect pics for the calendar to boot. This was a wonderful trip and I fully appreciate y'all taking us along! This was a completely fun video! The drone footage was spectacular! Oh! I am so glad your camera survived its bath. Those burgers were massive. I would not have been able to take a bite without smooshing it good. 🤣 OMG! The end was so funny! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I really love watching what you are up to, so don't reduce that, please. However, even more of the scenery would be great. A long ending filmed the way you do it would be something I could watch over and over. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures.

What excitement! Whew! Y’all never or rarely see bears, but to see a big mama and 3 babies is very cool. Your 6 mile hike back to the car was aided by adrenaline. I’m glad the dogs weren’t with you
