As an assistant to a university Mathematical Sciences Department, I must pipe up to inform you that, yes, mathematicians do celebrate Pi Day. all the professors met up in the faculty lounge, ate pie, and chatted about classes/math for a bit. Not a crazy celebration, but it is a fun day to look forwards to :)

My university has an annual "Integration Bee" for pi day, where students compete to solve integrals correctly in a time limit. Everyone who competes gets pie, and the winners get small prizes on top of that.

My geometry teacher in high school would bring pie to school on pie day. He invited all his students to bring some as well so there were so many different pies to choose from!! good memories (TヮT)

I feel like trying to bake something with Cristine in the room gives you a big disadvantage because of the chaos she always brings. Like.. I've baked with a handful of teenagers in my kitchen and I think baking with Cristine around would be more stressful.

Apple pie is something I make for thanksgiving for my family these past few years. I’ve been living away from home the past year because of college so watching this is really getting me excited to come back home for thanksgiving

I have a perfect recipe for you Cristine! It’s a no bake recipe WITH OATS! No oven!! We have a dessert in Sweden called ”chocolate balls”, and we even celebrate ”chocolate ball day” May 11th 😂 You should bake some for you and Beyyn! But really it’s just mashing ingredients together! 150 grams room temp. butter 0,5 cups of sugar 3 tablespoons cocoa powder 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 tablespoons coffee OR water is fine too 😉 1,5 cups oats desiccated coconut - mash together everything exept the coconut in a bowl - roll into little balls and roll the balls in coconut - let set in the fridge for 30-60 min - EAT!! (You can store them in the freezer for at least 3 months) Pro tip: double the recipe because they are addicting 😂❤️

DONT MAKE FUN OF SALLY! 😂😂😂 For real her recipes are AMAZING and always come out soooo good. She’s queen in my friend group…. Which means I’m getting old probably 😅 (Side not it’s actually Sally’s Baking Addiction and in her spiel she actually gives really helpful advice about baking!)

Ben, a pie has a lid, a tart has a case. A pumpkin pie is only a pie if it has a covering on top such as a lid of pastry or cream. Most pumpkin "pies" are actually tarts.

@@Purplesquigglystripe nope. Just lid Vs no lid. Either can be savoury too. The dish it's cooked in also counts for pies, as long as there's a lid, hence why a cottage pie is a pie despite not have a pastry casing, and the lid is mashed potato.

This is the impression I get from cristine as I watch more of these streams: if it’s something that cristine isn’t leading or an interest of hers, like these baking streams that are usually led by Ben, she isn’t engaged…even though it’s her channel. I mean, she doesn’t help and she keeps getting distracted. When I watch her play games on her own, she doesn’t read and understand the instructions, know what’s going on, and even understands the chat sometimes. I end up watching these streams when Ben’s in it because he keeps the streams on track and focused.

My math teacher in intermediate school would celebrate pi day. There were different tiers of awards for how many digits we could memorize. I don’t remember the amount of digits per each, but the tiers were: a slice of apple pie, pie ala mode, smash a pie in his face, and dunking an entire jug of water on him (like coaches for a football game)
