​@@shoptalkwithbrett6572you know they advertise some of these cat pump underpowered. Infact even other companies ones can be too. check your pump model number and check the number online. they might put out 2.7 gpm pump

It’s a beast. I bought it for the Honda engine and the main selling point was the CAT pump. I have some demo videos on the channel of it actually working doing a fence. A video of it running a surface cleaner and a Simpson turbo nozzle.

Glad you liked it. Simpson uses different engines in some of the other models but they tend towards the Honda GX series on the higher end machines. These GX engines are a tried and true engine this the reason you see a lot of them on construction and industrial applications. Check out the sidewalk cleaning video. You see it running a surface cleaner and doing a really good job. Well satisfied with this machine. Can’t wait till spring and summer do I can do more surface cleaning.

Soap is simple. You just connect the siphon house to the barbed fitting and stick the end with the filter in your detergent container but what folks forget is your HAVE to have the black soap nozzle in the wand otherwise it doesn’t siphon. There’s a little check ball and spring in that soap fitting on the pump and it only opens with the soap nozzle installed. That nozzle has a much larger orifice and therefore doesn’t build high pressure thus allowing that check valve to open and draw soap.

At the time, Home Depot still was selling this for $779. I avoid the big box stores because 9 times out of 10 the sales people know nothing about the product they are trying to sell.

@@shoptalkwithbrett6572 i had a 10% discount from the big box stores.. so i used it for this washer, great deal i think.. i don't really care what the sales people know when i know what i want to go get.. .. like this pressure washer is the same product regardless who is selling it (obviously same product number)..i came to the same conclusion as this video, i wanted a Honda motor, and wanted the CAT pump.

Yes. With with the throttle or by using a less aggressive spray tip like the 25 or 40° tip

The last time I used it I ran some pump saver through the inlet until it came out the high pressure side then I pulled the rope a few times with the engine switch turned off to make sure it was through the system

They mean premium quality pressure washer because the Honda GX series engine is commercial grade as is the Cat pump. As for fuel, I run 93 octane in all my outdoor equipment with a good fuel treatment.

Yes it does. I set mine in the grass and that solves it. Plus it saves wear on the rubber feet

@@shoptalkwithbrett6572 oh ok.. mine was shaking like in circles, i think more than whats reasonable.. the box was beat up very bad, and i know for a fact it was dropped cause a dent on the gas tank and the handles was hard to install cause they where not aligned, so i was worried the pump was also damaged and it has some scuff marks, from what i goggle was that it can shake like this if the pump was damaged if dropped or not enought water.. so i just returned it, for the peace of mind.. i also re-ordered it, and if its not dented and still walks, than i know its the pressure washer just doing what the pressure washer does... thank you

No the pump does not have adjustable pressure. What I do is use the engine throttle to back it off if needed or use a spray tip with a wider pattern

Yes. The Cat pump is far superior to the AAA. That’s why I went with the Cat

On this one, no but if I want less pressure I can throttle the engine back since it’s not a set Governor.

Thanks. It’s a beast. Check out the last video I uploaded a few weeks ago of it doing some sidewalks with a turbo nozzle and surface cleaner. For me, the Honda GX engine and the Cat pump were what really settled me in buying this particular pressure washer.

Yeah that red tip turns that machine into a water laser. Personally I like the turbo nozzle over the red tip. It’s that same pinpoint stream but it’s spinning so it covers a bigger swath. Very aggressive. When I do a driveway out side walk I use the turbo nozzle on the edges then the main area with the surface cleaner.
