i've stayed in the donga opposite the one you got after riding from arkaroola to lyndhurst via mt hopeless spent two nights there because there was a huge westerly wind that was hard to even stand up in let alone ride in.

the expanses of land that contains no human human habitat always appeals to me, living in the UK it's hard to ride or even walk anywhere where you are surrounded in every direction by natural landscape only. I'm interested in what mileage you're covering in a day when you are just heading to somewhere, say its just black top? can you ride that stuff all day? I can't get my head around the vast mileage you have to cover... I think over 200m(320km) would wear me out over here
