So glad I found this channel. "Posture position/philosophy" helped me resolve fit issues I've been dealing with for 25+ years...even after a RETUL fit, that aggravated a knee injury on the first ride out.

one of the most dangerous and slowest positions for descending. the further the bars from your body the less control you have + your head sticking out like a dildo eating the wind

Am sure you’re right. And have the KZfaq channel to show us right?

There are two types of viewers when it comes to consuming content such as our road cycling vlog. The Thought Experiment professionals are those who aim to predict outcomes in absolute terms. They may struggle to envision themselves attempting the same maneuvers, leading to simulations in their minds where they invariably overshoot and face potential crashes. Adding to this complexity is the fact that their social circle comprises individuals of similar skill levels. On the other hand, we have the genuinely intelligent viewers who approach content with a spirit of curiosity, willing to engage in applied experiments to understand concepts better. When confronted with challenges, they display humility by seeking guidance and advice from those who have mastered the skill. They observe successful executions without encountering any instances of failure in the vast landscape of KZfaq content. It is crucial to highlight the importance of staying in school and attending university classes, especially those related to applied physics. Concepts like center of gravity and moment of inertia, discussed in these classes, are instrumental in comprehending skills such as shifting weight towards the back of the bike during steep downhill descents. This maneuver, widely utilized by mountain bikers, enhances safety and control in navigating treacherous terrains. Remember, listening to personal experiences and insights can often yield better results than conforming to externally imposed narratives. Stay curious and keep exploring!

@@CruzControlPH i choked on my drink and laughed when i read your comment. if you haven't realised that you're riding a road bike on road terrain and been thinking you're on a mountain bike in treacherous terrains i suppose that would need some educating. secondly i find it amusing when the channel talks about biomechanics, yet the approach and technique goes against the natural mechanics of the human. i wont need to educate you on the physics of lateral control in relation to distance of your arms. (you don't and won't see any f1, motogp or racing drivers holding their steering equipment their hands outstretched) if this technique enhances control and safety and yield better results as you claim, you'd see riders in the peloton using this technique. lastly, no harm trying different techniques and exploring them. but when you take offence on a viewer's factual statement and make side routes to justify your video then it just looks kinda silly. signing out, peace!

Hey Crazy, glad to hear my comment gave you a surprise while sipping your drink. Your insights are always appreciated, and I respect your perspective on the techniques shown in the video. It's all good fun exploring different approaches, right? Let's keep the conversation rolling, and who knows, we might all learn a thing or two along the way. Cheers to diverse viewpoints and staying chill. Peace out.
