Andrea, Angelina at age 10 was walking around with the book, "The Complete Works of Frank Sinatra". She says in her recent video "Angelina Jordan 10 years in the making", that she is always listening to music. Today, in England, Angelina will be performing "If I Were a Boy" with songwriter Toby Gad at the Ivors Awards. Angelina will be releasing "If I Were a Boy" as a single on May 31st. I love it! She got to be a little kid playing in the mud She still had that voice she had in "I Pud a Spell on You". Such a unique voice even then. A voice definitely capable of blowing one's mind.

I agree Andrea, I love the acoustic guitar backing for Angelina. Most of my top favorite songs by her are either with only acoustic guitar or piano backing. And they don't need to do anything fancy, unless it's for a solo, they just need to provide a basic framework of the song while she dances her voice playing with timing & tempo while adding ornaments & ad libs as she feels them. I think that's when she is at her absolute best, IMO!

I think this is one of Angelina's favorite songs because she has sung it many times over the years including i believe the most recent concert in Vegas. I think her love for this song may have something to do with her grandpa who has passed away that he will be watching her from the moon after he is gone.❤❤❤❤👣

Always interesting and insightful comments Andrea. If you like the song, She performed this when she was 12 at the Quincy Jones 80th birthday celebration concert. It is the video where she is wearing a yellow jacket and it is the enhanced vocal version. It is my favorite of hers as it is with full orchestra and definitely the Frank Sinatra version.

This location is in the Southern California desert. All the white stuff is salt, I've collected salt crystals from pools like this. Everything is real scenery except for the sky.

I think this was filmed somewhere in the American southwest. ❤️❤️❤️❤️👣 I have always suspected that her Norwegian language origin has affected her pronunciation in a positive way. She has worked with other musicians from an early age.

It really doesn’t matter to me where she is or why she is there. It is what is, as long as she takes that beautiful voice with her.
