Mi amor... This song is a 30+ year old favorite Christmas song from the Philippines. (Where Leah is from.)

This song was originally written by Philippines' Father of Christmas Songs, Mr. Jose Mari Chan. He sang this with her daughter, instead of Lea Salonga who was his first choice then. We've been singing this since we were kids and it is still there on top until now.

I remember as a Disney child discovering that Lea voiced two princesses and she was immediately a legend for me. You should check out the collab Pentatonix do with Japanese acappella group, Little Glee Monster. It is called Dear My Friend and PTX sings in Japanese. They have a second more boppy collab in English and.Japanese called Midnight in Tokyo as well.

Lea Salonga’s voice is so clean. I like how she’s able to cut through all the chaos without having to belted out or raise her voice or push or do anything at all other than just sing straight. Her Placement is fabulous.

Yea! A trifecta of terrific- Topher, PTX and Lea Salonga. For amazing bass line, check out Matt's bass support on their mash up, New Rules x Are you that Somebody. Also, this came out after they did a Disney special @ Xmas Around the World and it surely gave that vibe.

Yes.... You need to change to more Pentatonix in your repertoire. For sure. Let me introduce them to you, so you can refer to them by name as you react next time. Matt, in the yellow shirt, with the diamond studs, was the bass you loved so much. Kevin was the beat boxer with the gold jacket. Scott is the blonde, whose jacket you liked, is a baritone. Mitch, dressed all in black, is the high tenor. And Kirstie (rhymes with thirsty) is their only female who is a mezzo soprano. I agree...this is a stunning song. They released their album "Holidays around the World" before Christmas and most of the songs are amazing, like the one they did with Meaghan Trainer called "Kid on Christmas", an original. Thank you for your reaction. I look forward to more of your Pentatonix (aka PTX) reactions.

Lea Salonga was the composer's first choice for singing this song when it was released, but because they were on different record labels, they weren't able to work it out. The original recording was the composer (Jose Mari Chan) and his daughter taking the line that Lea would have sung. Fast forward 30 years, and this is Lea's first chance to sing the song for a recording!

Liked your reaction. I noticed that the Pentatonix reactions you have done have always featured with someone else. That’s fine, but you need to see what Pentatonix does in their own. Recommend their cover of Sound Of Silence.
