Puberty killed my high notes.

I love how he shows examples of what he's saying by singing them. Some instructors just say but not do. Thank you very much.

I'm a teen boy, and I am really good with my mezzo. All I do is to sing Vocaloid songs and try to sing them. Over time, I did manage to even reach the soprano-G

Omg it took me over a decade to get my mixed voice but that was all self taught. It’s funny tho cuz I was always super shy and stuff as a kid. Always wanted to sing and start a screamo band with my friends in highschool but we were all too shy to sing. Then I got a car and I was able to envelope myself in sound and not fear other people hearing me. After time I noticed I wasn’t using falsetto on the high notes. Still with me? Good. Using the same car radio technique I was able to screw around with different styles of screaming and now I can do good mid range like BTBAM and pretty decent high range like TFOT. Ok I’m done. Thanks for the video I’ll have to look out for more that fit my needs. I’m alright at high notes now but having these more legitimate techniques shouldn’t hurt.

This video is extremely helpful. I tried signing without going up and there was less strain and I was able to hit the higher notes without it sounding awful.

Gotta say just by listening to ur rules and implementing my abilities increased amazingly

You remind of two well trained music vocalists I studied with in my youth, who addressed these same techniques. You want to stay on top of the note, to avoid going flat which comes with practice, and clear them with natural ease, as you've mentioned, to avoid *breaks*

I do the vocal warm ups daily but the 'gees' seem soo difficult i traded em with 'fee' today xD better connection! But does it work the same?

I just wrote a song recently about a guy that I liked who didn't like me back. I'm normally an alto, but I made the song hard to sing 'cause it starts low and then it goes high. So it's around the mezzo range which I'm trying to get better at. These exercises are helpful! Thank you so much! 🥰

question, if you are able to answer this ....because i've been unable to find any vocal teachers that talk about this and i think it would be helpful. what specifically is different & the same in the throat/mouth/breath support etc... with falsetto vs. mix vs. chest ...specifically falsetto vs. mix in the same register. Take an F#4 for instance Most teachers will only demonstrate the sound of it or use the adjective "breathy" -or talk about the cT / ta between a falsetto note and a mixed voice note. But, what do you physically DO differently (in the throat/mouth/breath support etc...) to make that happen? i can do both - BUT not on command in a live performance (where i need it most). would be helpful to know what i should be doing and not doing to make it happen. i hope that question makes sense. thanks!

when I lower my volume while going through my passage I'm able to sustain it the mix, if I don't I just break or jump to head voice. Is it a matter of getting better over time or am I just doing something wrong here?

I am a baritone. Recently I tried to sing One Direction songs : 1. Story of My Life 2. What Makes You Beautiful In the 1st strong, actually I could sing the refrain part all with full-voice, but it needs good stamina due to the long sequence of the part. Whereas in the 2nd song, I could only sing some parts of the refrain with full-voice. I feel mixed voice won't fit those parts if it is applied.

Can someone help me please anyone. If I try to relax my muscles in my throat my voice goes hoarse and starts to sound raspy and it sounds terrible but it I tighten my muscles it sounds cleanish and I can go higher. And also when I try to sing mix voice I go higher in my chest voice but then I breaks and voice cracked then goes to the strong voice that I can sing very high and very loud feels like my chest voice but a lot higher. I’m guessing this is my mix voice but switching from chest to mic is not smooth and makes a pause and cracks for a second

I find high notes easier when I focus more on the area below the Adam’s apple.

It's so hard to learn singing when you know you can't do it alone, but so much advice is contradicting and not consistent across all teachers, my teacher said raising the eyebrows is good because it "raises your soft palette" this man says it doesn't nothing, my teacher says to sing with a wide mouth, this other guy says to keep it small. It's so hard to know who to listen to, when you can't do it yourself and it's such a elusive skill to learn

Bro I’m one of those people who’s NOT A FAN of their voice. I’m a teen girl who’s at that age where my voice is “changing”? And my chest voice is to raspy and whiny, but my head voice isn’t loud enough and it’s too strained and high
