@@wing_gundamzero_5433 youre right. This isnt anything new. It tends to get ignored. Doesnt have to be filmed for us to know its real. Great to see never the less. In my family, my father was the one letting us get away with being bad or making all the jokes, but remained strong when it was needed.

@ariffisma1
@ariffisma1 3 жыл бұрын
I can empathize with you, C.M. Some of us have been unfortunate enough to grow up without the love and affection of a father even though that person may have been physically present in our lives. It is a sad fact of life to have been deprived the emotional bonding and relationship with a man that would have resulted in us becoming better husbands and fathers to our wives and children. It is not, in the assumption of some people, a case of "disgusting" self pity. So, for you C.M., I feel your pain, and I hope that you are strong enough to be a better man for it. My best wishes to you!

You can tell alot about a father by looking at the actions of his son. I think this man did a damn fine job raising his son. I too am a single father, I have a 20 year old son who is an 0311 in the Marine Corps, this video hit me right in the heart, pretty sure I got something in my eyes as well. I am so lucky to be able to have my son also be my best friend. To any single father's out there, I know it can be hard, but the work of being a good father definitely pays off.

@James Tyler Uhh, it guarentees failure only because companies don't want hire people with names too far removed from European-American standards.
@neronah7349
@neronah7349 4 жыл бұрын
@James Tyler When you're a child, school is your job and the teacher is your boss. You're right, it does start when they're young, as they are most likely being relegated to a lower standard of teaching and care by their educator, and looked down upon because of their names. They're being made to feel worthless and ashamed by society early on, then it becomes a complex.
@neronah7349
@neronah7349 4 жыл бұрын
@James Tyler I think we are both voicing contributing factors. I agree with what you're saying, to a degree, actually, but I'm also not so naive to peg one reason as the be all end all. The names are only a problem because society says it is.

dueimack growing up without fathers is an issue that many black kids face, myself and many other BLACK children face absentee fathers at a rate that’s disproportionately and significantly higher than other groups .. not a thing was wrong with the comments they made, it’s nice to see someone who had the opportunity to have their father in their life as a BLACK person specifically. It’s largely about race to me, if you don’t see it that way it’s probably because you can’t relate, nothing wrong with that

@@moa.2869 Yeah but why do black father leave their families? The answer is: choices. It's not predetermined by their skin color but by what choices they make. I would say it's more about culture and environment than skin color.

I tried my hardest for him to get his high school diploma and his drivers license. I served in the Army and i talked to him about joyining the Army too. Im very proud of my Soldier and i constantly remind him of that and thank him for his service.
