After a full test of my patience, waiting through a looong wheel manufacturing/delivery delay, winter, pandemic, backordered suspension, and just, you know, 2020 things, the time is finally here! Installing a set of BBS LM-R wheels on my 2018 TTRS, wrapped in Michelin PS4S tires, alongside KW V3 coilovers. It's the holy trinity to me.

They really are awesome. Immediately noticeable how much better they ride compared to the factory RS3/TTRS Pirellis. Internet is def right on that one...they are trash.

How would you conpare the V3s to stock? Mainly over bumps and undulations?

Who did you order your BBS wheels from and did they advise you on the size and offset? I have BBS RSIIs for an RS3 but they didn’t turn out as nice as I’d like so I’m looking to order new ones.

Paul from supremepower.com/ helped me out. He has extensive wheel knowledge for these platforms and should be able to get you sorted with the offsets you’d need to get the right look.

Can you describe the ride now and before with magnetic ride? What are the main differences?

I changed wheel and tire setup when I added them as well, so the ride changed 2 fold. The Michelin’s make the ride better than the factory pirellis, so that’s number 1. It’s a change I suggest everyone do. In terms of suspension though, I’d describe the ride as comfort mode on mag ride…great compliance, and smooth. Didn’t expect coilovers to ride better than factory suspension but they definitely do. However when you need them and they are pushed they respond like you’d expect from V3s and keep the car composed and sharp.

@@danny_vrsociety thank you for the reply! So it ia definately worth it changing the mag ride! I have a tts and i wasnt sure about the change. The car is daily but i push it hard very often

Well worth it! And if you want the ability to change ride a bit on the fly, you can try out KW V3 DDC which mimics a variable ride like factory magride with an ECU that controls it standalone.
