In this video I see what the Sinnis Terrain T380 is all about, is this A2 compatible adventure motorcycle worth buying? Is it good for beginners who've just passed their test? This was also fitted with a Toro aftermarket exhaust system which really brings the bike to life and it sounds fantastic!
I also find out whether it is worth upgrading from your 125 to this 380cc liquid cooled parallel twin once you have done your A2 License!

That exhaust note, caught it from the first minute. That Sinnis HUD reminds me of another brand. Is it also marketed as the zongshen RX or the CSC RX series ?

Seems like a nice bike, even for an experienced rider that has nothing to prove and wants some light touring, or for daily commuting. The exhaust adds some charm. I would take this one over many super-adventure machines, less weight and less money spent.

This isn't a bad looking adventure bike, and that's kind of my big complaint with a lot of adventure bikes they look bad. Some of them look classic Dakar, and I can respect that, but even that seems like it's getting few and far between now.

I only watched this because it was you guys that did the review. I test rode one of these that had almost 5,000 miles on it and I thought it was a cheap chinese effort. Rust had already started, sloppy suspension, seat squishes your nuts on the tank, it was on its second starter and alternator. It had the chinese original nylon tires on it that were treacherous in the wet. On paper a lot of bang for your buck but I hear from others that they are OK when new but put some miles on them and...... Good that it has a 3 year parts warranty, you're going to need it. Personally, better to save your pennies and get a CB500X. Having said all of that, if what you're looking for is something cheap and half decent looking to bang around on for a year and not pile the miles on it, then why not

From MCN "Claimed output is 36bhp, though the motor needs to be spinning hard at 9000rpm (not far off the rev limiter) to find it. Thankfully peak torque (26lb·ft) comes much earlier, at a more usable 6500rpm."
@carlatamanczyk3891
@carlatamanczyk3891 2 жыл бұрын
The Honda 450 scrambler I owned in the 1970s spun 9,000 rpm too. But after 50,000 miles on the odometer it still never used oil. So the 9 grand was not a big issue if you ride the bike prudently.
@benfennell6842
@benfennell6842 2 жыл бұрын
Well you cant feel peak torque if it doesnt perfectly line up with peak power so that description is a little, inadequate. In perfect world we could just look at the dyno sheet but I guess we dont. The constant throwing around of peak torque figures annoys me because it tells you a little but not much about a bikes engine power/torque curve. It's good a clue but it's not the whole story you know?

What's intresting looking back on this from the beginning of 2024 this bike is no more, they dropped it at euro 4 and never made it euro 5, and to be honest it was fairly heavy, not perticularly powerful for a twin, not great fuel economy for a 380 either imo 😊

Well done on the first ride! Yes the weather is 💩. At 19 years old you can’t take your full A license you can only do the restricted license. If you want to have your full license sooner you need to do the A2 at 19 to then be able to do your full test at 21. If you don’t do an A2 test you have to be without a bike and wait until you’re 24 to do your full test! From a few years till now i am getting confused with the profusion of new not well known brands, from doubtful origins, having almost each one a similar or equivalent budget models with engines between 300cc to 650cc; like... Zontes, Voge, FCmotos, Mash, Zongshen, Shineray (Jawa), Bajaj, Fantic , SWM, etc . They all look so similar and so anonimous.... Some of them like Zontes quikly get famous by their inovative aesthetics and general quality. And a bit less famous the others.... But almost all the rest of them lack something to be tasty, like personality and design. To complete the desgrace or misfortune they add those universal aluminium cases.
@MrDarcy-OlMan
@MrDarcy-OlMan 2 жыл бұрын
Yes there are a lot of Chinese made brands out there now, and a lot of them are selling the same bikes as another brand just with a different badge on them. Generally a factory will own the design of a bike and a company will pay to use that design with their branding. We haven’t noticed any quality issues but we only get bikes for a few weeks so it’s hard to say what they’d be like long term

In my humble opinion as an engineer with thirty years experience and in that time I have owned and ridden motorcycles for about twenty six years. I have bought new, I have bought second hand, I don't run a car only bikes, my daily commute, shopping mule is my bike. I have stripped bikes back to the frame and overhauled the engines, bikes are part of my life. I have been approached by people who thought they were saving a few quid buying one of these Sinnis bikes when they won't start, bad steering, I always refer them to the point of purchase, funny they don't seem to get very far! Put it this way I can't see any Sinnis bikes making it on to the classic bike radar in the future 😁
