@@PH_1964 I dont know of you had the surgery already, but it didn’t really hurt after but it felt very uncomfortable for a few days. The healing process was about a week and after like 4 weeks i could breathe again!!

@@Jane1998. Hiya Jane, lovely to hear from you and glad it all went well. I had mine on 17th April was uncomfortable for about a week and yes, it's about 4-6 weeks to settle. I expected big blood clots but nothing much. It seemed to dissolve with packing. Yey! No sinus pain and breathing beautifully. The worst, I found was the tiredness after anesthetic 😀

Hi - I had my fess done about a week ago. Yesterday - I had my first post op visit and the doctor cleaned the nose (crusting was removed). Post the cleaning - I have been feeling pain in the nose and light headedness, with slightly heavier bleeding in the nasal washes i am doing. My temperature is normal - the only medication I am now taking is sinarest - once a day and nasal washes (4-5 times a day). Is this light headedness expected? My surgeon advised me to have coffee

Hi, you can meet your ENT doctor. He will suggest medical treatment. Based on your symptoms and severity on endoscopy, he may suggest surgery too.

Good awareness video sir for timing. My mother aged 70yrs referred for FESS due to pan sinusitis... She is aspergillomo in LUL and done arterial embolisation in 2015. And under treatment n taken medicines for asthma, diabetes. Can Can we go for this procedure without any fear. Pls reply and guide me sir.

Hi, we have to weigh the benefits of surgery Vs risks from surgery in such cases and then take a call. It changes from case to case and advice cannot be generalised.

Hi, everyone has frontal sinus. Did you mean you have frontal sinusitis? Tonsil stones are different and they can cause bad smell in mouth.

Hi, mild headaches are common in the post operative period. I advise my patients to go for headbath from 3rd day, but you should stick to your surgeons recommendation.

Hi, external shape of the nose cannot change from septoplasty or turbinate surgery. Please make sure you are cleaning the top of nose as usual during your bath.

If this surgery could be done under local anaethesia I would have got it done today itself but general noo.. too scared. I checked out the videos of this surgery and it looks minimally invasive but still requires general anaesthesia. So weird. why there is no advance technique that could help to remove the polyps without general anaesthesia

Hello sir. My doctor didnt perform endoscopic cleaning after 14 days. I have big crust inside my nose and thoes are very hard and crusty like concreat. How can i remove them? And my doctor removed some of them in my last follow up with a twizer but he couldnt remove all because its so hard and i feel pain. Please tell me what should i do.and also let me know how can i make them soft so that they come out easily. Please. Thank you

Hi, please use saline nasal washes 2 times a day. washes will soften the crusts. blow gently after every wash. the crusts will fall off. Please explain about your problem to your doctor, he will help you.

Hi, please use tear drops and check after. If symptoms persist, please meet an ophthalmologist. Not directly related to sinus surgery - dryness in eyes is common cause.

Hi sir, I had done septoplaasty in 2019 ..now after diagnosis I had polyps and sinus blockages.. Doctor suggested to do fess with polydectomy. In ct scan pns it's mention gross dns to right... Also in scan picture my septum is like c shaped and doctor didn't report this issue...are they careless are fess and septoplaasty can't done together pls reply sir

Hi, septoplasty and FESS are done together. we should not go solely based on CT scan report, your doctor might have done an endoscopy and felt there is no need. If you are still in doubt take second opinion from an experienced Sinus surgeon.

Yes, Local anaesthesia ie. anaesthesia only upto nose. You can opt for general anaesthesia if you wish.

hi sir i have FEES and ESS surgery 2 months ago before surgery my surgon watch the report of my CT scan and he told me that you have infection on your right sinus and left sinus have cyst then he done surgery now 2 months is pass away my left sinus from which doctor clear the cyst is now doning alot of pain my doctor told me that i will take 3 to 4 months to heal your sinus is this right and my doctor also give some steriod nasal wash and tramdol and paracatamol tablets please guide me in how much time my sinus will heal thanks
