Balewa only had a house and farm to his name but he was perceived to be corrupt he even rejected the idea of moving around in an armored car when Akintola presented the idea to him , Sarduana's only crime was making sure the north caught up in terms of development and educational level of the south and favored northerners in the north yet he was branded a bigot , All the northern tribes were united under his leadership and he strived to make northerners champions of their own affairs as a regional premier whom had the chance to be prime minister but instead chose to remain with his people and better.
