His design is really cute. There is a lot of interesting concepts about sinners getting redeemed (that the show will probably never tackle) like imagine you got murdered and go to heaven while you’re murderer goes to hell but a few hundred years later he suddenly shows up in heaven because he got “redeemed” and now you have to see the face of your murderer every day for eternity. It could create a lot of conflict and not only tackle the questions about redemption but also the questions about forgiveness from victims of the sinners. But the show probably won’t go anywhere near that I mean heaven and hell are basically the same in the show so hopefully we all can play with those ideas over here instead.

I think that it would be cool if Sir p would start to get his humanoid features back over time as we see his journey in heaven

I get it Vizviepop didn't want to rid off Sir. P sinner design when he brought back to heaven because he was memorable character. But really.. It's more like they copy paste and polish with new paint and voila! Don't worry, you are not alone. I'm also confused and disappointed when Sir. P showed up in heaven with his sinner design. And yes! You managed for his winner redesign, and it's already make sense for world building, especially how heaven works for redeeming sinner.

I always thought it was that sinners took a form of cruel irony that they would almost definitely hate whereas winners got their personal perfect self, exactly who they want to be. It could also just be tying into the plot point that the angels don’t know what gets winners into heaven, they just accept them when they arrive and that it’s supposed to be about how the differences between winners and sinners is artificial

Sir P’s angel form feels like a common thing in the show. Like Vaggie getting her wings back just by singing a song and getting emotional enough. Potentially amazing moments being ✨watered down✨

I can see him arriving in heaven and straight up crying in front of the seraphim- I mean that’s what I would do.. and then he’d flop on his face..

This is so beautiful, in fact honestly, regaining your human form would be like a perfect “reward” considering becoming animalistic is like “lesser than humans” kind of punishment, so becoming human again in Heaven … you can imagine how Sir Pent looks at his hands and collapsing on his feet (since he has slithered around so long so he’ll be not used to walking) but he’s just most happy that he’s no longer just a snake and start crying 🥲

I think with your redesign of Sir P's human form, the scene where he ended in heaven coudve been a lot more emotional, with him tearing up at being human again and the angels helping him walk since he hasnt yknow, walked in so long.

That is a great point why do some of the Winners look demonic and some look just human? for some it might make sense if they are saying "this is not the purest soul but still got into heaven" but idk if that is what they are saying. Like Angel Dusts sister was also apart of the "web" of crime but not as much as the rest of her family so that is why she is in heaven but still looks like a spider? that's kinda weird. Anyway I love this design for human Sir P and also the small touches to differentiate him from others, I wish we got this in the original show cuz the internet would have lost their goddamn minds over not only Sir P redemption and getting into heaven but that he is human again and has his legs and the thought of him trying to walk but he is so out of practice he just falls on his face is hilarious.

Honestly, I have the opposite take on "Angels wouldn't be happy with demons getting redeemed". While that could be the case for Heavenborn, the Winners could be overjoyed at the thought that their once lost family members could come and live with them at heaven and flee their eternal suffering. I think that would be great to show inner struggles in heaven and how different classes have different views.

Honestly, I love the idea of the open halo. In a series where theres different ranks/species, it makes sense to have a visual symbol identifying where they’re from. As it stands, the fact that there’s confusion on who’s who and what they are isn’t great :/

Honestly, makes more sense for winners to be closer to human to show their "pureness" than follow the same ruleset with sinners by changing how they look. I think I may understand Vizzie wanting the winners to be different designs from each other to show that in the afterlife, they get the design that they want (idk the only thing I can think of that is similar is how the virtual world works in Belle), but honestly, doesn't really make sense. I like your design for Redeemed Sir Pentious!

Honestly making the Winners human would've been a great contrast to the sinners, humanity vs no humanity but oh well nice design though 👌🏾

Excellent design. I would have loved a humanized Sir P. Can you imagine, instead of just beaming into Heaven where the Sera and Emily were, they hear footsteps leading towards them from a manifest stairway and see a new arrival who's clearly just radicalized their entire system beliefs.

The higher ranked angels just hanging out with winners make no sense either-why would a throne angel go out n be buddies buddies w a couple of human souls?? The aris goetia cant even stand to look at imps yet here r the high ranked angels being buddies buddies w human souls-p ironic for a show trying to make the demons seem better then angels

HC for Angel Sir P. When he got his legs back, the first thing when he tried to do was walking but faceplants onto Heaven's pearly white floors. I will say, I love your idea for Sir P when he died. Having him be in his "human" form but with elements of what he was in Hell. I feel like that would be in your Overhaul because it's such a neat concept of when a person dies in Heaven, their angelic form is humanoid with some elements of how they die. But for Sinners, it's more demonic looking. So, having Sir Pentious being more humanoid in your version makes sense. From Vaggie to Iris. Being an Angel in Heaven and possibly died from her commrads. Her body being dumped in Hell caused the change to be a fluffy moth. Thats just me 😉

Honestly, He looks like an adorable goober! I feel he'll probably be someone that would wonder around as he's getting introduced to everything in heaven! I absolutely love this reimagining of his angel look! And love the detail of the different look of the halo to signify his original origins in Hell!

I think the Winners should look like their human selves too. Not only because I would hate to have my body mutated into an unrecognizable beast/monster form, but it completely takes away the cool idea of Sinners' bodies being forcibly changed to match their sins. It'd help the Winners stand out from the Heavenborn angels, like Sera and Emily, too Apparently, Angel and Arakniss are spiders to fit the "web of crime" theme of their mafia family, which they were both involved in, unless their backstories were changed. So why would that apply to Molly, who managed to make it into Heaven? Putting aside the angels not knowing how people get into Heaven (which is major BS in my opinion), unless she chose to take this form, this would seem like a punishment in my eyes. Especially since I don't see how she'd be able to walk comfortably with the way her legs are drawn.

So we know for a fact that Sir P will be in season 2 and just imagine the comedy gold we would have gotten from him having legs for the first time in 200 years (I think that's the right amount) Like imagine him learning how to walk again, he'd probably walk really awkwardly and fall over everything, it's perfect 😂

His design looks so good and amazing. I also like the idea of the characters that in heaving having they’re design mostly human though with some animalistic form. Like have them be sheep and other animals that represent a following of God in one way or another Compare to sinners who is mostly animalistic with little human form

Absolutely adored this design. I always saw the hat as the Devil on Sir Pen’s shoulder (even though there were no hints to that). I was pissed when he wasn’t human or at least humanoid. Based on HB, her fans won’t be bothered by her human designs. Heck, a lot of fans wanted human designs once the concept was introduced (most notably Luna). *Viv Rant Incoming* God, I wish you didn’t make him Indian, because now I’m mad that he doesn’t have an Indian OR British accent in the show DESPITE his aesthetic (I say accent because it’s probably better for world-building and dubbing). It just reminds me that 99% of the HH cast consists of Americans despite it being HELL!! Same with HB! Just give I.M.P. jobs outside the U.S. damn it!!

I mean, I feel like maybe Angel winners should have more human traits, but they should still have forms that don’t pass as humans. Your form isn’t just your sins, it’s little things about you. Angel Dust has extra eyes that look like freckles because he had freckles when alive. I don’t disagree that Sir Pentious’s form should have been revamped, but he’s a snake demon because he was apparently a snake oils salesman, but it could also be a ton of other things as well. For example, Snakes can symbolize many things across cultures, including rebirth, transformation, healing, and protection. Very accurate to the way he ended up, changing and becoming a better version of himself. How others saw him is part of it, but it could also be representative of his good traits as well when they transcend and become winners. Most, if not all animals have both positive and negative traits we’ve come to associate them with. It makes sense that Sir Pentious would have a snake motif still as a winner, but instead of the worst symbolism, it’s instead focusing on his good traits. His ability to change, his willingness to protect his loved ones, the healing he did with his personality, and the transformation he made. A fox-like sinner, when they were alive, could have been a pathological liar, someone who steals from others, and being cunning, and selfishness. But if they redeemed themselves, they could still have fox-like traits because foxes are also associated with cleverness, craftiness, intelligence, wisdom, adaptability, good luck, and readiness for challenges. So, they’d still have their fox-like qualities. Just the good ones, and not the bad ones. It would actually be good symbolism because it shows how they are still the same person, but their best qualities are showing, and not their worst. For Angel Dust, here’s some traits about his form as a winner that show the good traits of spiders.. Patience and persistence: Spiders wait for prey to get caught in their webs, which can symbolize patience and persistence. Creativity: Spiders are often revered in stories and mythologies, and their intricate webs can symbolize creativity and spiritual energy. Interconnectedness: The interconnectivity of a spider's web can be used as a metaphor for the internet or World Wide Web. Resilience: Spiders can symbolize resilience. Destiny: In some mystical traditions, spiders symbolize destiny because they are considered weavers. All of these, I feel, are connected in some way to Angel Dust. The patience he’s given in redemption, and how others will give him patience. Creativity could be how well he is at dancing, expressing himself, the way he speaks, his choice of naming for his pet pig, “Fat Nuggets” and his stage name, “Angel Dust.” His interconnectedness is his ability to perform for mass audiences. That and his ability to connect with people like Husk, and Nifty, and Cherri, Charlie, and Vaggie. Like the scene in the bar, where he didn’t want to leave without Nifty. He’s also incredibly resilient, and he met Charlie and everyone else in the comics, and Charlie was like, “yeah, he’s the one!” Which got him into the hotel, and on a pathway towards redemption.

I agree and love your design! Just imagine the real shock and excitement of Sir P not only dying, but being revealed in heaven, AND in his human form. It would have been more satisfying and epic

I personally like the idea of him struggling enough with walking he'd need like a cane or mobility aid at first, to try to get his balance back, but that's a me thing- he looks so sweet! I think Viv just does what she wants, not considering the ramifications or implications of what she as the creater says or does in canon, I could listen to you rant about all of them for hours- I can't wait for more of the rewrite! It's so much fun!

Well, since Cherubs, in the latest helluva boss episode, said they were exorcists. I come to the conclusion that winners and heavenborn know what they are, just don’t fully know what they do. They seem more surprised that the extermination is happening than anything or maybe everyone thought they only worked in the human world/Earth. Again just a theory, but that’s how I wrapped my head around it. But anyways onto the design. you are definitely right about wanting the winners to become human to make it easier to figure out a heavenborn. I can’t even tell which is which so I barely care for the heaven part of the show (which maybe that was their intent). Loving the darker skin and Indian descent. I also could see Asian descent working well with him too. I like the nods to his snake form and actually feels like we can recognize him in a crowd. I do love the halo change too, I think the only halos we can tell are the exorcists and everyone else just have ranges of colors so that also doesn’t help show who’s heavenborn and winner. Small changes could make a huge difference and leave a better impact.

He looks like he would be a nice gentleman to other angels around heaven💕

I’ve heard theories/discussions that the show is leading to the idea or twist that heaven and hell, or winners and sinners, aren’t all that different after all. For example, Adam is a high-ranked Angel, yet he’s a terrible person. I might be wrong, but maybe the fact that winners look like pastel sinners adds to that idea? That angels are more similar to demons/human sinners than everyone thinks. Though I agree with you that it’s kinda confusing to the audience, and that if the show ISNT leading to what I mentioned, then… why? It’s a delicate situation, and we’ll just have to wait and see if the show gives us a reasonable answer. Other than that great video and I like your version of angel Sir P.! He’s very charming ;)

He could have been an Anglo-Indian. They were English who moved to Indian and are still there to this day. P's design is really well balanced, and I like the colors. Good job.

your designs always blow me out of the water!! i absolutely adore the idea of sinners turned angels still having slight nods to their demonic form ( with the halos / fangs / maybe even nubs where extra limbs were ) and seeing them struggle with adjusting to their human forms :O itd help them stand out from the normal angels and the larger and more biblically accurate angels ( as they'd be more monstrous without having to compete with the reformed sinners ). all in all, a lovely design and one we shouldve gotten! and for the description : 🐍

I dont know if this was your intention but i love your re imagining of Lucifer's main colour/sin colour being purple being a slight hint to his angelic routes(purple outline for all of Sir P and your desire for heavenly characters to have full prple outline). Subtle but cool!

I also love your take on how the winners do look kinda similar to the sinners bc tbh it does look that way but the only different thing is the colors, where hell is red and heaven is pastel. Me personally, I loved it when you said that the winners should look more human bc even though they looked the way that they died I thought that only applied to the sinners, since yk hell is a place that reminds you of bad memories from your time of earth 😅😊

I feel like they wouldn’t dress like that because they know that they are better than sinners and would want to show that in their outfits. Ever since you mentioned that the sinners will have colors that represent which sin they commited, I thought it would be cool if in their redeemed/winner forms they would have the color of the heavenly virtue they represent instead. Like in hell your colors are a reminder of everything you did wrong while in heaven they are proof of what you did right y'know?

The thing that bugs me about the main characters the most is that we aren’t given that much information to care about them and that first we should’ve been given back stories about their lives almost kind of a dedicated episode to them because when all this harsh stuff happens to them it’s almost like “well should we care?” because we aren’t given information of why they’re in hell.

Honestly at this point i doubt we will ever see the lives of the cast while on earth, or at least see them in detail, like a reviewer (i think) said, the characters are seemingly reedeming themselves of the stuff they did in hell not in life, i mean yeah it's a step but what they did in life is what dragged them to hell in the first place We never saw Sir Pentious' life and so we can't really tell of what he redeemed himself for And to boot we have more context of the life of Miss Mayberry, a one-off sinner, in helluva boss of all things

Ohhh the idea of seeing the silhouette of a human ascend, hesitantly taking their first wobbly steps (after so long), hearing the confusion and shock in the voice as we slowly realise who it is. The first look of his now human form.. I imagine the new souls in heaven wear a simple white gown (a new clean sheet for Pentious) and then later they choose new clothes for their liking

Blue and yellow being together are sooo underrated (well at least to me) cause they do work if done correctly just like purple and green. But also the angelic of Sir P 😊

I think I heard from somewhere that the reason Maybe why some of the Winners look like Sinners is because they have sinned when they were alive but had gotten better before they died. For me I think some of the Winners become the things that they liked like Daisy loves Bee's so she became a bee. Or becoming their spirit animal

I love this design so much, I think him getting used to having legs again after being a snake would be such an interesting idea, maybe he would use a wheelchair? The colours here are so much better way more appealing

Art, let me tell you that I ADORE your reasoning behind your details, in both clothes, and character's designs. I LOVE that you gave a concrete reason to make Pentious Desi, as you said, It makes sense! His whole theme alludes to Victorian England, the King Cobra being native to Asia, and how the relationship between the countries were at the time; you combined the two to make a an English Desi Character

Correct me if I'm wrong but I remember Safe haven, the place that zoophobia takes in, still being cannon or sharing the same universe as hazbin hotel. If that's the case then it would explain why there are winners that look like sinners since that place HAS anthro characters just walkin about no biggie. It's a giant stretch and again needing to know pre-established lore that the show never hints towards. Definitely agree that Sir P should have gotten a more humanoid form or something akin to what you've drawn!

My headcanon for Sir P's human form was sort of the reverse of yours, in that he was born in England and moved to India at some point, where he then died by being bit by cobras. (Granted I have not watched the show and this was all based on the pilot for Hazbin Hotel here on KZfaq, so feel free to correct me if my info is outdated or wrong)

you know i can imagine sir p making it to heaven, getting his legs back, and then promptly face planting the moment he tries to walk anywhere. it's been a while since he had legs, he's done all the things you can do as an overly long noodle, but now he has knees again. the muscle memory isn't completely lost, but buy is he out of practice.

Honestly, I just realized you could easily justify the idea of people in Heaven having non-human forms as well by explaining that they were given their ideal body to bee able to do what they were truly meant to do to the best of their abilities or something like that. (Like say, the Bee Angel you mentioned being someone who was big into ecology and such in their life and thus was given the bee form to allow them to bee the best dang beekeeper/ecologist they can bee or something like that.) But.... That could just bee the C.S. Lewis fan in me talking, IDK... Bees.

I absolutly agree with the flaws of the original angel design and the idea of forming human-looking features, depending on the level of the chance for redemption more or less.
