Your version of Husk would make it so much easier for me to understand why Angel would even be attracted to husk on just looks XD

I always imagined Husk as a veteran who gave into alcohol and gambling after the war and he made a pact/shady deal to pay off his gambling debts and this design gives me this vibe so much I'm in L O V E

Making Husk a maine coon is actually GENIUS!! Looks ragged AND elegant (now it would actually make sense if Angel liked him). In all seriousness though, love the rustic look with the brownish-reds. And the GREEN? Even matches with the bottle! 🤌 I actually enjoyed Husk’s character (the little we saw of it) but HATED his og design. The tacky costume wings and symbols are just… Your new wings actually look like they belong to the character. Cannot praise this enough! 🙏

Honestly kinda digging the green bowtie. Never thought Husk looked like Jim Carrey's cat in the hat, but now that I've seen I can't unsee it.

Super cool design once again! Honestly I’m used to Husker so he never bothered me too much, but god he has always stuck out from the crowd with his dumb roblox hand with claws poking out and SOOO many symbols. I can’t tell if Vizie changed his hand in the redesign but I hope they gave him actual hands, it’s honestly surprising how little changed with him when I was thinking he’d be the most changed?? But I guess the other characters have stayed the same pretty much.

Maine coons are my favorite cat breed, so it’s awesome to see husk as one. This redesign really fits his personality more in my opinion.

I like how his claws resemble diamond playing cards.

To be FAIR about Husks wings, when sinners enter hell they tend to keep their most disliked feature apart of them. Like for Angel it’s his feet.

Fan of Husk here. I did personal mind the pilot design, I really don't like the redesign (why the hearts in the ear and his eyes look too yellow and it does not match at all). I didn't know how I would feel about your redesign, but I really do like it! Your redesign series for Hazbin is wonderful and really makes the characters pop. I can't wait to see what you do next with Niffy when you eventually get to her, but I just know that it will look great. Wish you were one of the designs for the show, no hate on Viv but they could use some more work.

Honestly a Maine Coon for Husk is perfect because there different types of cats and choosing a specific one for Husk means you have more to work off of instead of another black cat design.

Very cool redesign! I especially love the feel of the era you caught. The thing that always bugged me about Husk is that he has a vibe of old grumpy cat but because of vibrant colors and slim figure he looks more like just tired teenager. I wish he was old fat cat, it would add some silhouette variety in cast too. If they wanted to go with this "fur-looks-like-clothes" thing, I think they could get more inspiration from tuxedo cats

Let me be the first to say, I adore Husk. He fits my weird love of grumpy characters like Bakugou and Trevor Belmont. Granted, I'm disappointed to learn he wasn't involved in the war since I've read so many interesting fics with that being the centerpiece, but really the only thing I disliked about him was the...feet situation. That said, I love what you've done with him! Giving him puffier hair reminds me of Cats: The Musical and how they avoided the uncanny valley of cat people by incorporating big hair and ears into the costumes. Cutting the red from his design is not only easier on the eyes, but adding the green bowtie further separates him from Alastor. Same goes for Angeldust with the hearts/spades thing. And the griffin elements! Making his feet more like Stolas' is really taking away some eyestrain and the tail is really cool. And while I'm glad they're putting pants on my boy, you went a step further a gave him a jacket. The mustache works surprisingly well for him and I'm happy you kept his little arm-poof things and the orange in his eyes, they're my favorite parts of Husk's design, hands down. He looks like he smells like old cologne, cigarettes and carpet. Like a cat grandpa.

Is it weird for me to have start looking forward to your criticisms of the designs? Maybe it’s because I’m so used to people complimenting and having positive outlooks on the designs that it’s so refreshing to have someone look at them and then go, “Yeah, no.” (Not saying that you’re being mean nor being mean purposely I just like hearing someone have different opinions on them for once.) Also I love the design! At first the mainecoon mullet caught me off guard but after a few minutes I’m quickly starting to like it! The wings and change to spades are great as well and I’m so glad to see red/maroon as more of an accent color for once. The eyes are cool too. Also I’ve been seeing people on KZfaq and other platforms talk about and theorize that the reason why Husk has the hearts and why they changed his ears from pastel pink and white is because that people think they were there to connect back to Angel and that he’s going to be the oh so mysterious love interest and so they couldn’t have it being that obvious. And if that’s the case you’re redesign still works because hearts and spades are kind of opposites and maybe they’d symbolize how different the two are and how hateful and lonely Husk was before he met Angel. Frankly, the official design of Husk looked as though he didn't die in the 1970s but during the 1850s of the American Frontier, like he would be a western saloon owner or something from his design alone.

Love this design! What bugged me the most about Husk's redesign were his wings. They look plastic!! And the weird black lines don't help at all. Literally no texture, they're so ugly and don't look like bird wings at all. On that front, I couldn't be more pleased with how you did his wings.

I personally have always liked Husk’s character, but his design was always a bit… iffy, for me. I hated his hands, I was always confused about how his body posture looked, and the red looked too bright on what was supposed to be an older character. I liked the ideas behind his design, casinos and magic, because I like characters based around those things, but they never really worked for Husk. That being said, I love your redesign of him! It makes so much sense and matches his personality, or at least what little we know of it. I like the incorporation of the clothing and the spades, they look so cool! Just another of your redesigns that changes a Hazbin Hotel character for the better. This redesign now tops my list😊

Honestly, considering that Husk was not created by Vivs makes me wish she actualy worked harder on blending him in with the rest if cast. And your interpretation if his themes is genius

I love this version of husk.... makes me wish vizie would drop how hes basically just a furry. Going hard into the 70s theme makes a lot of sense and honestly this is a character to thirst over now. Your redesigns almost make me wonder what vizie is thinking with her designs. They work, ofc, and the aesthic goes hard, but the life you breathe into it leaves me wanting more

I love how you redesigned Husk! I never liked him either, all the symbols all over were too much for me, but the way you drew him really bring out his cat-like features makes him look both dapper and adorable.

I feel like Husk is the design where I'm fine with. I feel like when I look at him, I feel like there isn't much of a difference but I'm weirdly fine with him. Idk if it's because the cat details are more detailed, but your redesign looks so much more different compared to the real design. Not a complaint, I just now wanna see those two interact. Also, I envy how you draw the wings, I could never! Mwah- so good! Edit: I think it's clever to give the redesign a vest and not suspenders! Suspenders seem more proper but not something Husk would wear. A vest is more loose and simple yet it still looks nice on him which suits him well! ALSO SPADES!!! YES!! ♠👌👌

Giving him a vest was honestly perfect💚 As a 70’s fashion enthusiast I was kinda disappointed to learn that Husk was supposed to be from that time period and didn’t show any influences of the time through his clothes or overall style, especially being related to magic shows and casinos, but this design is so on point, especially with the slightly warmer tones. He feels more like an actual middle aged guy and not an angsty teen, plus he looks less awkward and his design says more about him, in fact, makes him look more interesting and not an eye sore to look at.

I personally like Husk character wise and character potential wise (plus the fact that I like grumpy/hotheaded characters which probably says a lot about me lol) but either way, I very much agree with you on his design and colors. If you were to tell me that Pilot or Redesigned Husk is supposed to be a scruffy and messy demon cat, I wouldn’t believe you since he looks neat and tidy, and again, as much as I love red, and red being my favorite color, it’s *way* too much at this point Charlie, Al, Vaggie, Husk and now Nifty (can’t wait for you to tear that one apart btw). The only color palette I’ve ever liked from the redesigns is Angel, and even I think Angel’s official redesign is “meh.” Charlie is the only redesign I like even though she ain’t my favorite, but even then, I was underwhelmed by the redesigns.

A good way to make him look older would be to do a white gradient on his mane from where it connects with his face fur, as when cats and dogs age, their fur slowly greys out starting at the snout. ^^ Since his face is already white, it would probably make sense to just start from where it's not white xD

I honestly think this is a publicity stunt to truly see if fizzy pops fans / fans of hazbin hotel will stick around for a show even with horrible design after horrible design theirs just no way someone looked at this design and said "this is good enough to be in one of the worlds most hyped tv shows in existence" Edit: It may I just say that it looks like consistently what artist has done all of these promotional redesign images except angel dresses his artwork for his redesign looked so uncanny it looked nothing like him and not just because of his outfit but as if like they had an intern someone who had never drawn him before drew that picture

OH MY GOD HE LOOKS SO COOL! It would have been cool to see how you would have incorporated the diamond and club card suits into his design (it kinda bothered me how you forgot about clubs in the vid). Love the green bowtie, which I feel would kinda match Alastor's magical glow. You could probably add green to Niffty, and having that be the signature color for those who are in service of Alastor (just a rando idea). It's cool how you made him more cat-like, and even including some bird elements to make the wings feel like they belong. I love the mane you gave him. It makes him feel older and the more scruffy character I always thought of him to be. Can't wait for his animation friendly redesign if you're gonna do that! ♠️♥️♦️♣️ Now, my nitpicks for his canon design. Hate the hat, hate the random ear coloration, don't like his hands not matching his feet, don't like how the wings don't match him, and I feel that the whole bar thing was just so Viv and her team could be lazy about his new design. They probably don't even know how his pants look yet!

He’s an off-brand lion and griffin, I love that for him. Tbh I have to agree with you and say that I never liked husk, his design is just god awful to me (I mean it’s interesting but doesn’t make sense to him, plus sometimes less is more) and I hated his personality with it. I love this redesign so much, spades suit him more then hearts do, also I love how he looks like he gives good hugs. Like he probably wouldn’t hug you but if he did it would be amazing

I can't agree more! I never liked his character design, he always felt off to me and just didn't fit with the other characters. I feel yours has more personality :). I wish they did more with their redesign but they just made him worse =/. I absolutely love this! You have turned my most hated design in the show to my favourite of your re-re-designs The maine coon inspiration is perfect it ages him up so well and I always felt odd about his super flat chin and pointy cheeks he always felt like his skull is a boomerang. The way you made his hands and feet actually match and be more linked to the wings / bird theme is purrfect! it gives him his original funny talons while making them not so astranged. The vest and sash style belt work super well too! they remind me of arabia and other desert styles, while vagas is in a desert. This design just sits super well with me I actually love him, you made a messy confusing character into quite a handsom man :] (oh and the heart eyebrows super needed to go. Massive extended brow and hearts on top was always too much)

6:00 in the pilot Husk said something like this: I lost the ability to love years ago. So probably someone broke his heart and thats why he drinks a lot Also, I love your redesigns and the fact you open my eyes always, like, with Husk I thought was the only one okay but then you made realize it was not. I think you did a really good job! I like how you included the suits in more ways than just having them on his wings (which would be a pain in the ass to animate idk how they did it in the pilot) and as much as I liked the hearts above his eyebrows, I think the forehead heart and the solid black eyebrows might work better (and I agree maybe a diamond would've been better). What a handsome grumpy kitty :3

I always liked Husk but his design is really confusing to me, interesting but confusing. I truly like how you redesigned Husk, you made him look more fixed up and made him look more like a grumpy old man XD (also he's not naked anymore) I never simp for anyone in this show but if your designs were the designs in show instead I would be on my knees and afraid of the next character design you're gonna do- Keep up the amazing work

When you announced that you were redesigning the Monster High characters I literally gasped. I myself am doing a private redesign of all Monster High characters on Google Docs AND I'm writing about a Monster High sequel with new kids at Monster High with some of them happening to be the kids of former students like Cleo De Nile and Deuce Gorgon, all that good stuff. I can't wait to see your redesigns of them since you already do such a good job with the Miraculous redesigns and the Hazbin Hotel redesigns!

Idk what it was about Husk's wings, but they always made me think of roulette wheels. The outside, anyway; maybe the dots represent the little white ball that is thrown into the wheel.

I personally like characters that have a lot of color clashing, and over designing, if they are done a VERY specific way. I rarely see those kind of characters look even halfway decent though. That's kinda why I have always ignored Husk. He just didn't work design wise for me personally. I really do love what you did with him here. Fixed the main issues I had with him. I really hope the show ends up using a more balanced design like this. Though I kinda doubt it will happen.

I think I only liked Husk because of the idea of a poker cat, they could’ve done him better. After watching: Love what you did with Husk, giving him more of a spades design is great because the ace of spades are generally the face of any card game and having hearts on a depressed cat-bird just didn’t make sense at all. Definitely prefer the neutral colors for him as well, those reds didn’t do it for him. I like the touch of green because Husk generally looks like a very envious character and I’d believe that would go with his greater character, if it existed.

I actually didn't know Monster High had this big of a fandom still. Especially since The Owl House is newer, i really thought, but whoa. That surprised me. I never was in the Monster High fandom but if the people are thriving that's good. Your Husk re-design is amazing. My favourite re-design of yours is Alastor btw. I really love that you do research and pay attention to all the details in a character design. I like watching your re-designs a lot.

Doves... Doves are a thing often used in magic... So he's legit a combination of two creatures often used in magic... Also let's not forget that witches are magical entities/beings that often have cats as familiars... I honestly dunno what she was going for, though, because honestly his overall design was kinda blah... For lack of a better word... I love this redesign though! So much better!

Husk happens to be a favorite character of mine. I could understand why you don't see the tux design that some saw. I believe it was because of the "button" design on his chest fur that made it look so. Honestly I love your take on Husk and I absolutely love him. This looks more like the serious side of Husk that we haven't seen yet. Husk has been portrayed as the more comedic "punchline drunk". Those are the best words I can give. Husker is there for comedic relief since he's moody, a alcoholic, and cat which cats are shown to be distant and hostile towards others. So with that being said, thank you for sharing your thoughts and redoing a Husk that isn't all what he's seen to be.
