In this edition of Tarikh, Divyanshi narrates the Battle of Boyra between Indian and Pakistan Air Force. The aerial interception battle was fought during the Battle of Garibpur in East Pakistan(now Bangladesh) on 22 November 1971. Before the aerial battle, Indian Army had already destroyed Pakistan tanks and captured the area around Garibpur. Pakistan Army retaliated but couldn’t succeed and hence Pakistani Air Force jets intruded to help Pakistani Army in land battle. At that time, Pakistani Army was engaged in combat against the Mukti Bahini (Bengali Guerrilla fighters) and a Battalion size detachment of the Indian Army as part of the Bangladesh Liberation War. The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) aircrafts ended up crossing the Indian Border and Indian Airforce started following them in retaliation. Four Folland Gnat aircraft moved to Dum Dum (Kolkata Airport) from Kalaikunda, near Kharagpur to intercept the Pakistan Air Force aircraft. दिव्यानशि जी, आप द्वारा उक्त प्रस्तुतिकरण काफी अच्छा है, यदि आप व आपकी टीम 1948, 1965, 1971 तथा 1996 में भारत - पाकिस्तान के बीच हुए युद्धों भारत के सैनिकों को युद्ध बंदी बना लिया उनमें से कितने लोग भारत कब वापस आये और कितने नपुंसक सरकारों के कारण आज तक नहीं आ पाए तथा कितने पाकिस्तानी सैनिकों को भारत द्वारा अपने खर्चे पर ससम्मान पाकिस्तान को वापस भेजा गया इनकी विधिवत सूची ?????

Bangladesh ke युद्ध में जो भारतीय सैनिक को ने शहादत हुई उने bangaldesh ने सम्मान देना होगा पर अब 50साल हो गए पर उनने ऐसा नहीं किया। इसपर हमें सोचना चाहिए।🙏

Great respect to our army officer Major Narang (Saheed) and soliders who participated in Indo Pak war 1971, and Salaam to Indian Sikh regiment which headed first to enter in East Pakistan , after confirmation of Pakistan air force misadventure in our air region, in this war , India showed the military action and coordination amog all three forces amazing ,such a great example in military action is rarely seen and a result such a huge surrender of 93 thousands soliders with complete armory is not registered in past history too , in this war , our national leaders played a great role , salaam to them , who took a hard decision to halve Pakistan in one stretch, after this win of India, world began to recognize India's political and military prowess, again I salaam to leaders and soliders who participated in 1971 war and brought pride for we Indians.
