Alex you've been doing a great job man, you are one of the few people who has cracked the magic formula to combine our culture with the ongoing trend. If this has not been done, then our next generation wouldn't have knew our forgotten culture. It might be tough travelling alone with criticism and public opinions but every leader is a person who used to be one amongst the crowd but with different perspective, once the rest of the crowd understands it (eventually) then they'll treat as you a leader or a pioneer. You will be rewarded fairly and heavily (if time permits) very soon. Cheers man!!! Keep going

I am one of sirkazhi Govindarajan and his son Sivachidambaram’s big fan. Sirkali was a living legend in his time. It is sad that he passed away at 54 we wish he lived longer. Very nice of you to do tribute to sirkali , Alex.

Alex you are a super talented person.You not only showcase your talent but also bring out the works of such gems like Seergazhi Govindarajan sir.I went back to listen to his songs and relived my life during 90s.These songs they used to play in temples using speakers during morning hours. Bro, you nailed it. I have heard this song while it was played on streets while I was commuting in chennai. But, tried to listen by watching or understanding the lyrics. Song lyrics are so good and brought tears with devotion. Your singing is amazing, this video has made me to watch the entire song sung by our beloved Seergazhi Govindarajan sir. May GOD bless you and post many such videos. You did not spoil any bhavam or meaning of this song, it was the same feeling you were able to produce, great thinking, even other than tamils can enjoy and understand the lyrics and song.

I am Telugu, born and raised in Andhra pradesh. I can't speak Tamil though I can understand the language. I think I have the gene you mentioned as my ancestors are from Tamil Nadu which made me thoroughly enjoy Alex in Wonderland.

Hi Alex, it was very fortunate to see this video on 1st day of new decade (2021). I have heard this song by Sirkazhi N times, but never checked what it conveys. I really felt guilty for not listening to the words of this song which has a calibre to touch a soul. (credit goes to Sirkazhi obvious). Am ashamed for not being touched this much by the song in its original, but yes will go and check all Sirkazhi songs. Thanks for reintroducing Sirkazhi again..... "Almighty My soul Deity"....

Great Effort Alex! I love the reasoning for converting these songs to English to reach a wider world audience. Also, I had my 6 yr old son dancing to the English conversion and that is the proof of the pudding to reach the second generation, Indian kids, with these old melodies kudos!

It was a treat for my ears. I'm a 96 born, I accept ur ideas and understanding of ur audience dynamics. Enga generation la pathalae intha mari classical and divine songs kana thedal ah irukatum illa athodu unarvugala ullvangurathaga irukattum rombave kammi. Reason being the songs were already a few decades back vanthathu innoru reason athukana vaipu neraya peruku kedachurukathu. To my knowledge I used to wake up by 5:30 in the morning along with my mom and I lived very close to temples. Antha nerathula intha mari Sirkali Aiya ooda paatugal lam ketu valanthavan nan. Ipo kovil la kuthu paatu podranga 😂😅. I can only laugh abt that. Though (even after trying) I was not able to completely accept the idea of English covers of these songs, I think it is the best way to bring back these soulful music to life and giving everyone a chance (which many didnt have) to explore these hidden gems. Hope you bring us much more delights like these. Thank u for the nostalgia.

It was great effort towards establishing the sirkhazhi sir, i think the current generation is not that much interested on devotional side of him, they only like making fun of his voice, his dedication towards devotional songs is priceless, special ullathil nalla ullam from karnan movie, I still remember the tears i don't know whether it's kannadasan lines or sirkhazhi Govindarajan voice or emotion on that movement of movie, but without him that movement is incomplete he was great man, he will be remain as great throughout his songs long live his "pugazh".
