Some of the options we go for in supermarkets, we can actually make them on our own at home besides i find supermarket prepackaged vegetables are expensive. I love living sustainably and if i can make it myself i will honestly rather do that. Our ancestors relied on self sustaining and preserving methods since time immemorial. Put a straw in the freezer bag, at the corner, then zip up the bag, then suck the air out with the straw, then remove the straw and zip up the freezer bag x

To maintain that vibrant green color when benching the greenbeans and peas add a pinch of salt to the boiling water.

I use a potato peeler to scrape my carrots. I've found this is quick and easy if you want to try that.

A potato peeler will help you better with carrot cleaning ...if you use your metal sponge it may leave micro metal shavings in your carrots ...just a tip....also try the potato peeler on oranges and apples and other things it works well to get the skin layer off !!! I was bored one day and really wanted an apple without skin and was in a rush!!!
