Update: It has been 4 amazing years since I found my brother. We have stayed in touch and have a close bond. He has met his biological family and I have met his adoptive family. Eventually we may have an update video. He was a groomsman in my wedding and apart of every big event in my life and I have been in his. I am always thankful for finding him while we are still young. Not many people have that opportunity. It still feels like it was yesterday and I look forward to the many years to come. I pray for everyone out their looking for their family, that they find them soon. God bless.

No, this is not fake. As soon as I knew my brother turned 18 I started searching everywhere I possibly could! Laws in my state are very strict and you are left to pretty much fend for yourself. There isn't an ounce of fake in this. Our relationship is strong as any sister and brother relationship could be. Finding him completed me 100 percent. I would give my life for him. I thought by sharing our story may give hope and piece of mind to others that are going through this tough stage in their own life. I wish and pray nothing but the best that see this. I hope that they find as much joy and love in finding their own sibling, parent, relative as I did. I hope that answers your question...

Met my sister on June 3, 2017 after 50 years. I never knew she existed until my daughter matched her DNA on Ancestry. She is 19 years older then me when I was adopted at birth. She had my birth pictures and a few from when my mother visited my adoptive parents when I was 3-4 months old. My birth mother had a photo album and my sister kept it all these years. We actually grew up living about 120 miles apart. Never give up hope and keep searching. My sister answered so many questions I've had for 50 years.

I'm so glad you guys found each other. I wish we lived in a world where siblings weren't separated.

I found my sister but she told me there lives are made out and to her and her brother it's only them two and no one else it hurt so bad I cried so much but I kept it inside

Thank God you found each other! When I was in my late 30's I heard a rumour that I had a sister in Germany (being a product of two people who were married before). I asked my mom about it. She knew but didn't know any details. My father never wanted to speak of it. So I never met her and now it's way too late. I am thankful that at least some folks get there dreams to come true.

Stuff like this makes me sensitive. I'm very happy for you both even though this was 3 years ago. I have an older brother who is 30 years old. I haven't seen him in 13 years. Doesn't talk to me or anyone in my family. He's basically gone. He's alive but gone from anyway of communicating with him.

Glory 2 God. To make long story short,... THIS is SENSITIVE stuff. People DON'T realize THAT. I SHOULD know. I, too am one (frmr.) adoptee.

I have 2 wonderful kids, one a son 46 and a daughter 44, she was taken at birth thanks to the welfare(social services). She was born April 6th, 1971, found us, her birth parents, 21 years later. been close ever since. I am close to her adoptive parents. It's been a special relationship ever since. June 12th, 1992 I will never forget that day, when my daughter Angi found us. She met her brother 2 months later, August 22nd,1992. I got to meet her adoptive parents December 18th, 1992.

I'm 21 now she's 22 and my brother is 26 or 27 I don't know why they hate me so much my dad was never there for me out of 21 years they have always had him I learned how to be a man by myself I learned how to fish, hunt, cook, and to survive by myself I should be the one with hate and anger but I spent hours, day, weeks, and months looking for them and for her just to tell me there never going to consider me as a brother

I found my brother living in France...had no clue he existed until 2004...hopefully we meet in person. He is 72, me almost 70...

And me too i seperated in every thing with my sweetheart girl from 20 years ( since mid 2004 ) when she is graduated from college . We didnt know any thing or we didnt see each other from that time .

I was very close to my sisters and , I just know if something like that happened to me I would be a blubbering mess for the entire day. I hope they become the best of friends.

I havnt seen my step brother or step sister in 4 years (I have only visited twice) they live in my home country, my mum and dad moved to Australia when I was three (I came with them and so did my little sister) and finally my step brother is coming to Australia in 6 weeks I'm so excited!! (Btw I was born in Switzerland and everyone of my family love there except for my mum dad little sister an me)

i'm gonna meet my 34 old big sister for the first time tomorrow. i'm so excited!

im 13 right now , when I was 5 my little brother got adopted out and I havnt saw him since I only have his first name and I try and search for him all the time but it never works. then when I was 7 my mum had another little boy and he got adopted out and I havnt saw him since I was 7 I know I cant meet them at least until they are 18 which is like 11 years away and I don't known what to do because there isn't a day that goes by where I don't wish they were here and I don't know how im going to get through these years I know this has so many comments so your probably not going to read this but if you do I think your so brave for getting through all of them years its only been 7 years since I saw mine and I don't know how much longer I can cope

I'm Originally from Ukraine, immigrated to Israel only with my Mother for a lot of reasons, even though we have no Jewish blood etc. Never kept with my father's family in touch since my mother never allowed me and never told me what's their surnames etc. I got a sister, 21 years old with a baby already (I'm 18, soon 19), my aunt, my grandmother. My father died due to some reasons that my sister wants to tell me when I'll come to Ukraine.
