We're going to tear down this 4L60E to see why the 3-4 clutch failed and see what we need to order. Come join us!

Well, on Thursday we'll figure out what it needs. I don't know if I'll do all of your list, but definitely some! Thanks for watching!

The longer 8 mil. Bolts not only interfere with the drive train but will lock it down due to the pinning down the sun shell.

Hi sir just to thank you sir for your time..we are learning ✍️ from your videos.. please can you enable the download link internet connection is a problem here..we need to download and watch later.. thank you sir

I don't think there is a download option. I've never seen one. You could download a program like "any video converter" and use it to download videos onto your machine.

Can I make one suggestion that is to employ a dedicated camera operater (Camere-Personna) to film those close ups too, thanks

please do some work on tag Identification. 6TDD has a story. even a link to identify those tag numbers would be fantastic!!!

be great if you could pull apart a valve body 4l60e and explain briefly what, where all the valves etc are and what they do 👍
@siuautomotive3 жыл бұрын
Good idea! On Thursday I'll have the valve body apart and cleaned, so we can look at the valves and explain their operation, assemble it, then vacuum test the valves to see what's worn out.

@@siuautomotive ive got a Holden Commodore V.S. Station Wagon ( en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holden_Commodore_(VS)) and it has the 4l60e, no problems with it, but I got more and more fascinated with it as I studied it further, remarkable machiné and a wonder how it works so flawlessly after many years and Kilometers (Miles) with so many critical, sensitive parts

At the 20 minute interval or even earlier a lot of peoples remove the band Servo, wondered why you left it in ¿¿¿

I was on a roll!, lol. No really, I could have taken it out earlier., but usually do it just before pulling the input drum out. No real reason.

@@siuautomotive im up to the 1 hour mark (bit about the big guy) 😁😁 really enjoy your videos and courteous manner mr Boyle😀 Your knowledge is immense in the transmissions too, and I REALLY enjoyed your previous Hydraulic and electrical videos on the 4l60e too. They explained all the valves and accumulators function and operation in great detail. I watched James Williams "Trar-Mission" bench too, it was good. Its 3am now here in Australia but I'll keep watching to the endé as I am enjoying it so much. Cant wait for part 2. You are an Excellenté Instructor, keep up the fantastic work 👍👍😀

Thanks! That really means a lot! So I'll see you on Thursday for part two -- or is it Wednesday where you're at. I'm not sure if Australia is ahead or behind, lol! Crazy world we live in!

@@siuautomotive one of the things your previous excellent video on the valve body cleared up for me (which I couldn't source anywhere else) was why was there 3/4 up-shift and down-shift valves, 3/2 down shift, 3/2 Control valve, 2/3 shift valve 2/3 Shuttle valve etc in the valve body but NO 1/2 Up-shift or down shift valves etc. I think you eloquently explained of the need for timing these shifts between 3/4 clutch and 2/4 Band apply (4l60e)
