its going to be insane for wave clear. she already has one of the fastest but the time duration on hitting towers is an insane buff.

I think it might be like a .3 second increase to the w but it's not really about that it's about the bounce. I like the move of as to w. It's what the ult did but I'm concerned people are gona max w first too much and drop like 1 point in q and 2 in e.

The e should be way more useful now in fights. She shouldn't any more mana struggles then before as she has lower costs and, as per "ray williams" twitter post, she will have bit more base mana. What is your reasoning for mana over a heal?

u could do some really flashy outplays with the heal, flash in to a cait trap for a burst heal and surprise her, it adds a new layer of skill display in sivir,

Ratios can always be adjusted, the important thing is the core ability changes, my only big concern is that she will likely go OOM too easily

Well now you can play a more skill expressive version instead of a champ spamming 1 ability and relying on that alone It's a nice change, will go back to play her more, spellshield has always been a game changer, instead of using any other champ and having to take cleanse for a big stun, you can rely on that, and her being built lethality ruined it for me, it meant not having a great adc to play into some comps

Good to know my favorite champ has been super nerfed and that I will now be forced to build crit and use her absolutely terrible 500 attack range to kill people. If they were going to force her back into being a crit adc i would think they would add some attack range even if it is conditional.

@@Lasker. it is a buff. for low elo players who dont really know how to build/play for late game its a nerf. But for experienced players this is a buff because you dont have to rely on your abilities scalings but instead have a spellshield + heal in one ability and perma atk speed.

Really nice that they removed the heal E costing 40 mana - that addition really negated the Q and W mana cost reductions but those problems should be gone now. Still don't think her base mana stats need any changes tho. Range needs a balanced increase imo since she no longer has the lethality poking power of her Q.

Agreed, but they want to make her high risk high reward aka Feast or Famine. Additional range would contradict their vision. Honestly, I think we have enough Feast or Famine champions in the game, especially on the ADC role.

@S4T1R1C4LS4D1ST well sorry pal, I am gonna test her mid, since she has good waveclear, highrange poke, a way to deal with mages abilities and my favorite part, a kabooty kicking lategame. She also counters or synergies well with many of the IMO strongest champs in the game atm, like swain, cho gath, lillia, seraphine and Immobile adcs, who all love her bonus movespeed and for counters varus who with the ap build (which I abuse midlane as well) is prolly the best adc this patch, gets countered by her, because he relies a lot on being able to reset his q w and e. And with sivir coming back anivia who is already strong, will be the probably best counter for her in the entire game. She can split up her team, making her ult way harder to utilize, she is a shortrange immobile ADC and her only Form of counter play vs highrange mages, her e doesn’t do anything against a slow zone or wall of anivia, as well as her q having 2 durations making working around anivia q really hard. Anyways I am gonna stop rambling now, I don’t even know if anyone is gonna read this, I just got lost in the thoughts I guess.

sivir is gonna be in the same place (in my opinion) so shes gonna be a rare pick usually picked by gigachad enthusiasts (no i dont play sivir i just respect her players) shes prob not gonna be op or anything but will be better, she has increased scalling. Really nice change, i like the spellshield and ult change the most.

I think they wanted to shy away from her lethality muramana builds. The grab tear/and perma spam q in lane was very unintuitive and unfun to lane against. This creates a more ranged auto attacker feel by adding crit scaling to her Q, and removing the infinite mana from her spell shield.

@@user-vj1yr1uq2d I believe she has much lower carry potential late game, compared to other ranges carries. Her early game shove and poke was all she had with the lethality builds. Coupled with her scaling with crit feeling so bad, it almost felt troll not to build lethality. Too many ways to engage, and throwing a q and running while trying to weave in autos with no attack speed felt awful. Other ad caster style ranged champs at least have some form of utility/survival in their kit that supports this. She lacked this making her feel oppressive if ahead, but completely useless once she fell behind.

Thing is... she still has her 500 range. Inside of every other champ engage/grab range, so forcing Sivir to play "close range" with this rework (to move her out of the tear/lethality infinite mana/poke state) will discourage player from picking her (and no.... RFC is not a reliable option, because is one shot onnce every 100 charges to put her at Cait's range -650-. But if the other ADC has RFC.... ¿doesn't she will be in the same state? -150 range disadvantage-)

I love resets when healing isn't involved. It feels like a fair way to make a champion be able to efficiently teamfight without having a kit thats designed around winning teamfights with one ability like Ornn, Seraphine and similar champs. But, the issue arises when that champ can heal back to 100%, get stronger AND get a reset like Viego. That design feels unfair... But with things like Sivir here, she only gets to keep her power going if she gets a kill and doesn't gain anything extra.

anther ADC changed to build only Crit (like zeri).... yey.... I am a sivir main, i hate crit scaling abilities, i enjoy multible build options. i have no problem with the downfall of the lethality build, but you used to be able to build any of the armor-ignore/reduce items (Black Cleaver and the last wisper options). with this change you will int if you dont buy the one that gives crit. if they would have increased her attack range by 25-50 it would have been enough to make auto attacking builds more viable on her... if they just nerfed the Q a bit while giving her a bit extra range i dont think anyone would complain.

it seems riot is trying to get rid of the lethality build on her and redirects her to being a traditional ADC that relies on auto attacks. Ffs though, why the hell is her range still only 500? At least give her 25 more range if you are making her an auto attack-based ADC lol

That's exactly what they're doing. That's what they said one of their goals were when they announced the rework. I liked having the option to build lethality or crit. Kind of sucks but crit is fun too and has more carry potential, especially vs tankier teams.

I don't play Sivir as much as I once did, but her main issues were always: - running out of mana too quickly if opponents didn't play into her shield - not being able to catch up to injured fleeing targets to finish them off The rework addresses neither issue, while potentially creating a few new problems. I do like the power shift from her boomerang to her richochet - being able to hit the same target twice with ricochet is a huge deal, especially in team-fights to get a lot of damage onto the entire enemy team. I think despite Sivir being more strongly encouraged to go full-crit, partial crit with a Ravenous Hydra is looking pretty strong to create a havoc build that the enemy team has to play around. Lethality Sivir doesn't look dead to me. She goes for The Collector and Lord Dominik's Regards, getting armor pen and crit at the same time. Maybe she grabs Prowler's Claw + Youmuu's Ghostblade to stay on top of a fleeing target or kite around while spamming Q. There is room there for either Ravenous Hydra or a third crit item (IE, Quickblades, Bloodthirster, Runaan's... whatever really) to round out the build. It will still do what it does - poke for a lot, with decent all-in damage.

She has sustained movement speed from her ult along with more speed withi fleet of footwork proc on E, you'll be able to keep up with most people running away. I agree with mana still possibly being an issue, but maybe can just be addressed with Essence Reaver.

As a Sivir main, this is a very polarizing change. On one hand, she's much better as an ADC, and some of the changes are just overall better without being a direct buff. On the other hand, this is just Riot forcing the variation out of our hands. If this keeps going, they'll start removing dual scalings on champions eventually so it becomes like Wild Rift.

@@Ppopstandee that's not optimal though, you can win by doing stupid shit in every game if you want to, it doesn't make it good. Lethality will be no longer viable on Sivir, you can do it still if you want, but you will be sacrificing damage for nothing. That's forcing out the variation, one will be obviously better than the other all of the time and that is terrible for diversity of builds in the game

I am seeing a general trend of ADCs being remade to build normal ADC items with attack speed and crit, and nulling the lethality options, and any new ADC, like Nilah, also are built specificaly for AD and Crit together with crit scaling place your bets, who's next? Who's gonna be made from whatever "alternative bottom" they are into another "ad+as+crit only"

I played her recently and she fit me more than other new ADC. Her simple kit make me feel comfortable, ez to control. I have 60% winrate on her rightnow at plat 4. I like these changes, will play her more after the new patch

The big question though, is can Ricochet now proc Dark Harvest? because it hasn't been able to in the past, despite being damage by an ability that is on a basic attack.

@@garakain3126 Then what is it, if not an AA enhancing ability? It's part of her kit, bound to one of her ability keys. It's not an item or rune effect. Things like the damage from Rocket Belt, I'm fairly sure, can proc Dark Harvest. So why would the Richochet not be able to? Jhin's W can proc DH if it hits on a bounce. The fact that the boomerang bounce can't proc DH, might be intentional regardless but it's a huge oversight in her ability to synergize with it. That being said, since this rework is nerfing her Lethality build, I don't think DH is gonna be used as much on her anymore. PtA, Lethal Tempo, or Fleet Footwork will probably be better.

@@garakain3126 Sorry, I meant Jhin's Q. I don't play him often to enough to remember which button is his bouncing grenade. Either way, Sivir's W wouldn't proc Kraken anyways because it itself is not an auto attack but the ability is an auto attack reset. There's no reason for Sivir's bounce to not apply damage related effects. The bounce IS the result of her pressing one of her ability buttons, thus SHOULD be an ability. It's not like Twitch's poison where it's his passive and thus doesn't proc ability related effects like Liandrys. It's an active effect. It should be changed to allow these effects for consistency's sake.

it kinda killed her champion because of e = mana skill, because really her kit is where her damage really comes from, but with the new crit variant i guess its nice. but still id take mana over health on her e.

sivir job as an ADC (if we ignore the lethlity build that they are trying to nerf) was always wave managment with Q+W, and being the ADC with the fastest wave clear. Her mana problems forced her and her enemies to play around her E mana refound, while in teamfights she can give her team speed while trying to be extra safe because she is the shortest range ADC that doesnt have mobility. she could hit everyone with her W even if she focused the tank, allowing for some safty. now her wave clear will be weaker in laning face (W+Q do less dmg), traded that with her mana problems (less mana costs+better mana regen). E healing is whatever, probably wont matter so much. and now you have to build crit for your Q to do any dmg, and because crit scaling abilities work with IE, you are forced to buy IE 3rd every game. so they nerfed her laning faze, and didnt really buffed her outside of laning faze, as she still has to short of a range to enjoy the new R 0.5s cd reduction (+ it matters less with the new W, because it lasts for Xseconds anyway. would have made more sense with the current W that stays for 3 attacks). reset mechanics are made for Esports and assasins. seems like they want her to be played in the lcs, but they didnt understand that when she used to be played in the lcs (*not lethlity) it was because of her wave clear and laning power, which is now weaker. sorry for the rant, i am just a sivir player that thinks they missed the mark. attack range increase of 25-50 should have been enough to make AA builds more viable, i know they also wanted to kill the lethality build, but a Q nerf could have been enough for that. (i dislike crit scaling abilities on every champion they are on, its like them saying "thats how you HAVE to build this character")

I agree with you. She was my "go-to" for picking a safe ADC into a kill lane. It sounds like the Dev that mains Irelia was oneshot by fed Sivir and called in a nerf strike. Sivir's short AA range will be the last nail in the coffin. ... As they release smiling pre- nerf Aphelios with dashes and everything immunity. *cough* Nilah.

the biggest problem will def be mana . in theory u would need more mana in new sivir since u dont build manamune anymore but if u build manamune it does not scale with crit/attack spd for her new buff. and her new r movement speed is basically a joke. since she doesnt have a dash her ult was used for an escape but now with the nerf she wont run far for the enemy to catch up on her. but she now has an insane combo with navori quickblades it gives crit and cdr and pair with ult she can just spam ability none stop. i only tried 10 matches in pbe and every build i try she just dont do damage in early to mid game.

@@suricatal appernatly the changes were discussed by a riot employee in a sivir main discord. In said discussion there were less than 10 people who talked. (I checked). I have no idea why they thought (the riot employee+couple of sivir players) that those changes will fix her problems. It created new problems, while making her current strong points weaker

I want her ricochet moved to her passive in some way and her W to become a single target, high damage skillshot, but one that can rebound off walls. Make it possible to make banked shots around corners and make the damage scale a bit each time it bounces. It would give her a unique mechanic, a bit more poke and an ability that has a high reward if it's applied skillfully.

It lasts 8 seconds and gl auto attacking to reduce your cooldowns by 0.5 seconds with 500 range!

Imo She got nerf Only crit as ms and healing is good But i think she is more paper and can go off mana really quick

I think some of the nerfs involved are a bit too much. Like I get pushing her to crit but I thought we also wanted diverse build paths ?

there are no nerfs involved here, it's all a net buff assuming you're not specifically lethality, and even a 50/50 crit/lethality build will still outperform her current lethality build

@@ryanroberts5449 Q is actually gaining damage if you build crit though, and her mana costs have been reduced across the board so she doesn't need to rely on her E for mana gain she can also spec into presence of mind as a precision keystone user now, too

This guts her, side by side comparison, she's weaker until she's late game and has 100% crit. That means no GA, so you're stuck using a mana hungry ADC with 500 range and spammy abilities. Sounds like Riot genuinely shut their brain off with this rework.

They hard nerf her early game (base stats) and mid game (Q with lethality) for a better late game, we must not forget that Q scales with crit. Alongside LDR and maybe Collector, it can still hurt. I'm wondering how Navori will be on Sivir now.

I dislike the changes a lot. They effectively killed her lethality build, which is my favourite, and her crit build which is being pushed won't even be effective since she only has 500 range. The final punch to the gut was the E change - why riot? She's still going to be extremely mana hungry and her main source of mana sustain other than building a tear or essence reaver is being removed from her kit for a miniscule heal. No thank you.

When i first saw sivir in S9 (when i started playing) I was hoping her kit would be the way her new kit would be, as long as i am autoing in a teamfight im damaging everyone. It didnt turn that way so I quit her pretty fast. Now new sivir is out and this is the exact kit i wanted but sadly im an OTP now so wont be playing her in ranked atleast.

are you kidding? every single ability got buffed in multiple forms and her build paths are now open to building things she might like, like navori, essence reaver, etc, on top of having better access to runes idk if she'll be broken yet, we'll see since it might take them time to find her optimal builds, but she gained so much flexibility and survivability

Lethal Tempo Crit Sivir will be interesting. And I don't know if Runaan's will apply to her W. If yes, then she will be broken without a doubt.

No Runaan's won't because it doesn't now, much like Vayne. Quickblades are going to be gigabusted on her. Basic attacks refund cd, crits refund cd, add transcendance and you're in urf mode!

@@rebondzx i mean quickblades are really meh as an item. It won't be busted because you can't buy it first or second as an adc since you need mythic + as item for auto attack based adcs. Third item must be ie or dominik in most cases. So as a 4th item i could agree with you but then the game is usually over. Maybe you could skip the as with a specific build which could make it op we'll see.

@@InitialDraal Crit ADC build paths are kinda boring. all mythics (of all classes) have a mix of stats, so anyone will be able to use them. but ADC needs crit+ad+as+armor pen. because the mythics stats arent specialized to be any of them, you are still forced to buy one of each, other than AD. AS+Crit ussualy go together, and after that you have to buy IE as you said... and 4th is so late it has to be a anti-armor item (if you needed that 3rd than now you HAVE to get IE 4th). 4 items + boots, leaves us with 1 "flex" slot which is always built last → usually doesnt get there, and most of the times its anther AS item or a omen/GA... imagine if we had AS mythic option, it would have opened a diffrent build path. + i hate when champions are forced into a build, the crit scaling will force the same build-path every game. (++ now you will "have only one" anti-armor option)

I think this is perfect she can get away with not building full crit, it is unfortunate she is less of her old self in that build wise, but she is an adc and these pro’s she gained far outweigh the full lethality builds which would j really use their Q for any dmg. Attack speed will be needed, and arguably because of that she will get her Q back even faster w the autos taking off time.

super happy, I didn´t touch sivir since her lethality build become the only viable one, it is so boring to spam Q all day, happy to see my kite quenn back with a lot of teamfight AOE, I love how she kills everyone and they don´t even notice it early enough to contest her dmg

After tons of testing on PBE the past couple weeks her lethality build is dead 😂. Slight attack speed is desired. Kraken and PD is enough including Lethal Tempo, after that IE NAVORI/LD is all ya need.
