My video reaction to the final 6 minutes of the television series Six Feet Under. I was told to record myself watching. This is me blubbering like a baby. I've been told I'm a mix of Kim Kardashian and Dawson Leary when I ugly cry. You're welcome.

Im 39 too and I missed it the first time around. I just finished it tonight and within 2 minutes or so of the montage, I just broke down when David saw a younger version of Keith. It reminded me of people I lost who were young, we always see them as we remember, young and vibrant. Just such a powerful show, I am still trying to process it.

I have been watching this finale for a long time now, and I worked in the funeral business as well, and lately I lost someone dear to me... The Finale has a meaning and it's on the DVD cover. Everyone.Everything. Everywhere. Ends. The fact that Claire is moving on, thinking about how the future will be, people she will lose, the lonely road, it means something and I believe thats what the producers wanted to demonstrate. Whatever you do, people will die, life will change, people will grow, and we're all gonna go through it one day, but in the meanwhile, we must never stop, keep rolling, going on, follow our dreams, passions, so we can end accomplished.

That's not an ugly cry, that's a beautiful cry. We were all so invested in these characters, and to watch them all die was emotional overload. When I first saw it, I cried through the entire final credit roll, turned off the TV, curled up in a ball and wept on the couch for another ten minutes in silence. That's some powerful cinema.

This was the most powerful ending to a series or even any movie that I have ever seen. We were invested in the characters like they were family and I think that's why it hits everyone this hard.We realize that this is what we all do and will go through to our life's end.I haven't cried from watching too many fictional TV series or movies, but I cried hard when I watched the original airing of this.I recently watched again and still cried almost as hard.Sia's song also is the most perfect soundtrack for this ending.

My wife and I devoured the series last year after hearing for years that it has the best series finale of all time. Over and over I’d hear this and assume that it’d been overhyped. There’s no way it could live up to that. So, it’s even more of a testament to its power that it overrides all expectations and leaps to that honor of being the best. It gutted us. Like many others, we were in withdrawal for weeks, months afterward. I remember thinking as the final six minutes played that there isn’t a word for the emotion it creates. It’s sadness, joy, anger, despair, nostalgia, and empathy all wrapped into a new super-emotion.

I pretty much grew up with this series in my teens and my early 20s... It helped my coming out and also with a lot of life philosophies... and well, reminded me I had seen Sia at a gig in Melbourne when she wasn't known at the time. I was balling during these last 6 minutes to the point that I couldn't speak to anyone for a few hours. I really also think about this show a lot and dig out the box set once in a while just to remind myself of certain lessons in life (as screwed up as it is).

Thanks for bringing up memories of watching this finale. One of the greatest, most poetic sequences in TV (or cinema for that matter) history. The editing itself delivers the message ... Awww. I hope you don't mind, but I jokingly used this on FB as my reaction to re-watching the series, including finale, for the umpteenth time. Your tears and smiles actually perfectly depict the rollercoaster of that fateful-yet-hopeful ending. It's painful - definitely cleans the tear ducts. I'm not sure I've ever loved fictional characters as much as I love these people from SFU. BrBa is my #1 favorite drama, but SFU had the most interesting and realistic characters. I hope 2085 doesn't arrive too soon. :)

Great video! This mirrors my reaction to the shows finale. The ending was sheer torture. While merciless in it's reinforcement of the harsh reality of death, it was played out beautifully and deepened my love for all the shows characters. I cried so hard my stomach hurt... The only other season finale that has evoked such emotion in me since is the ending of the Leftovers, Season 1. Heartbreaking. Six Feet Under was perhaps one of my favorite series of all time.

At first when i saw that someone posted a video of their reaction, I actually laughed. That IMO is the absolute best ending to a series of all time. It snuck up on me too when saw it first time and the tears started flowing. I feel you, brother. No shame

Best finale ever a true TV masterpiece. I still cry just by listening to the song.

It's difficult to be a fan of the show, and NOT lose it during that final episode. That song, "Breath Me", along with what happens to them all, plays with the heart-strings. Along with Claire taking a picture, and Nate telling her, "You can take a picture of it, because it's already gone".

I'm glad I wasn't the only one that lost it. One the most emotional finales I've ever watched.

SFU is my religion. I was 17 when I started to watch and now I'm 36. It defined the way I'm living my life and I am SO GRATEFUL. I achieved so many of my dreams because I am truly aware of my mortality. Things have to be done at the moment you can do them! Don't wait! I hope everyone could watch Six feet under, people would be happier...

We've all been there Brett i.e., the bawling. I finished the series two years ago (a little bit after you did in 2014) and still have not rewatched the ending or entire series again - yet. I'm saving it for a rainy day. I started the series never expected it to wring those tears out of me. I began watching it on my own with no recommendations from anyone but purely out of curiosity. I never thought I would become so emotionally invested with a fictional television family! Needless to say I was so emotionally drained toward the end and then the final scene came along. I immediately got online and looked up anything related to the series ending and found others were affected by the ending just as much. I found many testimonies in forums and reviews by viewers who felt the same way I did. Really is the best television series I have seen! Bravo to the creators and writers of the show!

Brett I have the exact same emotions every time I view the last scene. You are so invested the characters by then that it's like losing your own family members. It's gut wrenching and overwhelming.

The final show is so hard core / so mind blowing. I cried for hours after watching it. Years later & I could still cry thinking about it. I don’t even know when the next time I could prepare myself for watching that episode again.

That finale fuckin' KILLED me. Never seen anything like it, not before, not after. Absolute masterpiece - as was the whole show. But that finale was truly something else. Brilliantly done/made. Made me cry so hard, even long after it was done; and even now, years later. Wow. Absolutely amazing. Perfection.

It is so rare to see a men cry over a movie or tv show , this show is so perfect and the finale episode so intense i cried like a baby and felt like i was grieving when i saw it for the 1st time 11 years ago. And i also cried when i rewatched the whole show for the 4th time this year . Six feet under is such an incredible and emotional show , so ahead of its time ! Even 20 years later it hasn't aged at all
