@@KH-sn2sj yes indeed her random tantrums were total comic relief like when George was leaving he says "I'll be back in a couple of hours." While Ruth is cooking dinner and she says calmly "Oh ok." I was so happy her character found such peace in the end of the show with her sister and Bettina and George and the dog sitting.

@@kimakotrotman6860 The same that Michael Caine and Jeremy Irons did in the batman movies. Sometimes the good actors can't imagine how bad the final result can be. Same for Halle Berry. I don't blame them. In the case of this movie, the director screwed everything. The movie could have been a bit better maybe.

After finishing the series recently, I’d argue that Ruth was equally petty and malicious in the final season, up until Nate’s death. This being indicated by her unfair behavior (understandable, but still unfair) towards George and her cruelty towards Claire at Nate’s wedding. Ruth was just as bad imo.

about nate killing that bird... did it have anything to do with the poem "the rime of the ancient mariner" where the death of a bird symbolizes the start of a tragedy?
@darrenpat1824 жыл бұрын
Birds also symbolise hope and redemption, the holy spirit, the Phoenix, the Lark.

There is a superstition that if a bird flies inside a house, someone who lives there is to die soon. I think Nate killing the bird was symbolic of his will to survive and denial of his mortality.

Yes, also birds in ancient cultures ( Greek, Roman and maybe others ) symbolise omens and emissaries from the the hereafter. There is a specific word for them, psychopomp, also Caronte the ferryman is one of them, and many others. A bird inside a home is a bad signs, I felt uneasy when I saw it. Sorry, I’m Italian, I hope it’s clear what I wrote.
