Thank you so much for this happy ending. In the early 1980s I was the photographer and editor of Animal Kingdom magazine representing Chicago's Lincoln Park Zoo. With access to all parts of the zoo, I discovered a juvenile lion in the very dark basement of the Lion House, in a ten-foot cage where the concrete had been worn thin by his pacing, I felt physically sick. When I asked the celebrity zoo director, Dr. Fisher, why, he said it was a spare from the breeding program with other zoos. In the next basement storage room was the Galapagos tortoise, his winter accommodations a pen with rubble floor under a single dim bulb that came on only when a human came in, probably to toss in food. After that job, I vowed never again to visit another zoo. Am heartened by your dedication to find and change these kinds of situations.

The way his eyes looked when they opened the carrier after arriving the first time. I cried real tears. Absolutely heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time.

WHAT BEAUTIFUL CREATURE, THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS POSSIBLE, IT MAKES ME FEEL HAPPY FOR HIM, HE DESERVES EVERYTHING GOOD IN LIFE, WHY HUMANS STILL KEEP IN CAGES THESE MAJESTOUS ANIMALS, IT'S CRUELTZOOs should be forbidden they are concrete prisons, only huge sanctuaries should be allow snf zero hunting period

His eyes look so different. From dead and empty to happy and content. Now he needs a companion, if possible.

Just so heart felt and beautiful to see, everything about this dear boy is different! You can just see it! Such a cruel life he has endured for 20 years ...I am so glad he has met humans that have been as caring and wonderful as you all are and he is finally free of his pain and suffering and living his best life. It is so sad that with most of the rescues the animal always seems to already spent most of their life the way they were found before the rescue. For those who rescue wild animals how come most of the time we see bears like this already spending 20 years of their lives living in these conditions before they are rescued? I only hope and pray they get a few good years of knowing what it’s like to live this way 🙏🏻

Thank you thank you. I just don't UNDERSTAND WHY animals are kept, but not looked after. They are WILD animals, the wild should give it away, they NEED Natural habitat!!! gods, I hate people that treat animals as things
