We visited here last summer while traveling in Portugal and fell in love with this hotel. When you visit Porto you should drive to the Douro Valley and stay at this lovely hotel. We highly recommend 😍

Loved a glimpse of this hotel. I found it one of the most inviting and interesting locations and the decor was really inspiring and cosy at the same time. This has to be one of my favourite hotels you’ve visited so far.

This was a lovely property. The food looked so tasty! After the evening dining and port, I think I would go for the salads for breakfast. Much of the enterior gives me a Scandi-California vibe. I was glad to see the tires on the wall. It could be the weather which reminds me of our current, N Cali winter weather. Very enjoyable, with the new music added. 👍🏾👍🏾

I can just imagine boat loads of travel worn Roman legions boating down the river, looking up and seeing the beautiful green hills and humming speculatively. What a droolingly beautiful place. Nothing too glitzy or over the top. Just quiet, calm good taste and comfort. I am one of those people who love being surrounded by big trees and green hills. The river is a bonus. And all that damp air is great for the skin and sinuses. This place would be very soothing on frazzled nerves.

Uau...the food is breathtaking, for me the portuguese cuisine is the best in EU. To bad you didn't do the douro river boat tour, it's AMZINGGG, next time if go to Portugal again, visit Algarve Alentejo and Sintra/Cascais.

Spectacular architecture and interior design. One of the best properties I've seen to date.

Love Portugal. For those like me who can't afford this, there's a small hotel in Estoi in the Algarve which is very affordable. I believe rooms were €100 a night in October when I visited the village. The architecture is similar and it also has beautiful views. It's near the Roman ruins.

The exterior is breathtaking. But the dog is the perfect touch. And I love the way the kitchen is partially in the restaurant and sets up the buffet. They have some really awesome arrangements in how they do things at this hotel.

It is to be fully amazed!.It´s really a beautiful hotel to stay for some days,at least.It doesn´t matter the distance from the city,at all!!!.

Yet another fantastic video by LTE! Looks like an excellent Hotel to unwind & recharge your batteries.. I would stay away from the Port Wine though, that stuff will kick you square in the Schloss Adler. I'll stick with a nice Cabernet.

🏰 Excellent Hotel with Good services (Specially good foods & good swimming pools) 👍 . The exterior of this hotel reminded me Château de Villandry in France, I had visited that a few years ago . This hotel was good for lovers of the Château . Also, in my opinion, the Tesla car is not good for airport or hotel transfers . Specially for this old hotel and a long way, they should have used Rolls Royce or Mercedes-Benz .

This hotel had me at the amenity--a glass of port! My favorite food group happens to be wine and port, so this looks like the place for me :) Beautiful hotel and location. So serene. The food looks excellent--eggs bene of course. Usually I'm not much interested in spas, but this one had it all and was very inviting (Yes, Six Senses). Loved the traditional exterior and modern interior of the hotel. And Aqua the dog--he was relaxing and admiring the view, lucky pup! Top ten for me--thank you, Dr. LTE!

We stayed here a couple of years ago. It's a beautiful property with stunning scenery. However, we found the service was so so... The service was a bit distant. Portugese are very friendly people and we had friendly and exceptional services in a lot of places, except this one. It wasn't bad per say, but it wasn't enough for Six Senses brand.

I think 5 star hotels shouldn't have bulk-sized toiletries. Every other hotel can, but not the luxury ones.
