Gareth has a great mind. I learnt so much from him from a very young age with regards to free speech, expressing yourself does not matter what others' opinions are and the ability to stay open minded.

What a wonderful podcast. Just come across your podcast. I look forward to listening to further episodes. Yes, it is vital SA learns to engage each other in debates and conversations whilst still being able to meet and share a coffee afterwards. There is far too much division being created by the rhetoric of politicians.

Let’s Make a concerted effort to apply convergent and divergent thinking strategies in our …thinking, speech, and conduct! I’m hopeful that This will cure our judgmental, insular, tribal, one-sided narrative! Embrace argumentation done with diplomacy, tolerance, and respect! We can exist peacefully with each and we don’t always have to agree regarding many ideologies or situations. As long as the communication is done with respect and tolerance … in a civil manner! Hi, from Saudi, as always very informative and inspiring us toward fair, civil, graceful, and compassionate conduct! Thank you! Shukran!

This is purely from memory: Talking about the deliberate connection between Gareth's and DJ Fresh's radio shows on 5 FM, I remember Gareth announcing that he was going to leave his then prime slot to allow for Fresh to move in, and I especially remember how Gareth emphasised how good Fresh was to his, presumably, white audience. Now, I understand that context much better. Great interview 👍

@chronosmagasaurus2813
@chronosmagasaurus2813 3 ай бұрын
I cannot speak for Gareth but one thing I can say is Black Men are powerful beyond their imagination and without them we would not be a developed society, black man work hard for their families to put food on the table and make sure that their kids and wife are fed and taken care of and that makes them noble and wise. Black men are responsible for the physically hard work of repair and contruction of infrastructure all across our country as well mentally demanding work in our offices in the admin and I.T departments. Black men are no nonsense hard workers and the most trustworthy of all. I as a white person know this as I have only had good experiences working with black men in the various companies I worked for. Black men are also the best friends that any person can make regardless of their race, there are a few racist bad apples I wont lie (but that applies to all race groups) but the vast majority of black men and black woman are wonderful, caring and family orientated and work hard and are successful through that hard work. Thank you 🙏

Great show guys! Gareth, I watched you on Idols many moons back, and thought you were somewhat vitriolic, but not as bad as Randall Williams. However, Randall (he could've bought himself a personality 😅) came from the industry as opposed to you. Nonetheless, I have recently been following your program with Leanne Mannas and Colleen Makhubele and others. Thoroughly enjoyed viewing these episodes. You have truly matured in your form of interviews and journalism. I now enjoy Cliff Central. Sizwe, I watched a few of your episodes including the interview with JJ Thabane of which I thoroughly enjoyed. Both of you should not discount entering the political arena.
