Darkside2205 did you watch the video? You’re as bad as the person he is interviewing by putting quotation marks to some words he said and pulling it without context. You legit pulled out 3 different things from several separate sentences during the interview which exaggerates his statements.

I have autism. Pretty high on the spectrum which means I have a grip on reality and my symptoms have dwindled with time and therapy. My first video games were halo and ace combat. I started playing them when I was 9 and was heavily affected by my autism. I can confidently say that those video games have not made me violent and I have never had a run in with the cops. In fact if there was one thing I took away from video games, it’s that by seeing the beauty of planes in ace combat or the values of honor with military personnel in games like halo reach and again ace combat made me want to peruse a career in engineering for the US Navy. I know this is long but what those people said in the video struck a personal note with me and I was insulted by the ignorance. I’m not stupid because I have autism, video games inspired me to want to protect my country and lead a life of honor and service to a country that has done so much for me. If you made it to the end of this comment, know that I am proud of your ability to read the ramblings of a guy with autism. Have a good day

The fact that people are still to this day blaming video games for violent behavior/mass shootings blows my mind, there has yet to be any studies suggesting a connection between the two and it hasn't happened even though a lot of research has been done on the topic. Same goes for movies and comics. When you shoot someone in a video game you don't think "Oh yes I just murdered that innocent person" no, you just look at it as another score/point which makes you progress, anyone who has ever played a first-person shooter agrees with this. It's so entertaining to watch these old people have such strong opinions about something they have never played or barely watched.

Does that mean smoking doesn't cause cancer? Does that mean that the person who smokes won't get cancer? I mean it doesn't mean the person WILL get cancer, but my point is you're arguing as emotional as the women in the panel. Not just you, I've seen several comments that go like 'I play COD and I didn't shoot anyone'. I mean, I'm on your side, but if we are going to convince anyone of anything, anecdotal evidence better not be the best we counter them with. Because I know couple of persons that smoke for 40 years and are healthy as they can be. So just arm yourself with better arguments I guess would be my point.

i am an asperger Autist...i play video games all day, cause i dont like going outside interacting with people in an environment that is heavily disadvataging me cause i dont speak body language and turn out awkward most of the time. In video games - or chat - or forums - that barrier is gone and i can interact with people in an equal base. No secret language usable that i dont speak - in real life i never met a friend, always was mobbed and pushed down, in video games i am liked, i am social, i have friends. With video games i found friends that became friends in real life who helped me moving etc. I found my WIFE through computergames when i never could get a GF in the real world. Video games very likely may be the only reason why i am NOT on the street shooting people cause video games showed me that the world can love me...even though the world outside still doesnt

This is yet awesome and sad to hear man! I think I have asperger as well, but I think people think I'm attractive, so that compensates for me lacking social skills to comprehend most body language and such. But hearing you (not saying you are not attractive -at all, that is not what i'm trying to get at, also, I'm not gay so don't take it that way either-) really must be bitter man... And i feel how you feel, but to a lesser degree, because for me it stays for the people I interact with at not understanding me and me not understanding them. Like there is some kind of red dread missing in our wires to connect one another.

One thing I find that is a glaring example of how they have no idea what they're talking about when they say that these shootings occur because of Call of Duty is a total lack of knowledge about any part of any of it's plots. Especially in the Modern Warfare series. With one exception (and even then it's offset by karma in the form of getting shot for your atrocities), you are objectively the good guy. In 2 and 3, your main objective is either to defend the nation from very angry Russians who are more than committing war crimes against your nation or go after and try to stop the guy who has committed several crimes against humanity, including orchestrating the infamous airport massacre. Your only targets in most situations in the game are trained and heavily-armed soldiers and mercenaries who willingly serve objectively evil and/or insane individuals who prove time and again just how atrocious their actions and motives can be.
