I actually love shorts especially for art content! Sometimes i will see a short from an artist and immediately subscribe to their channel. I've never been a content creator so i have no idea how strenuous it is tho :/ I don't necessarily watch a lot of shorts from people im already subscribed to because usually I'd rather watch their full video.

I agree that summer has overstayed its welcome, it is time for some nice autumn weather! About shorts: I don't watch a lot of them because most are just a repetition of a longer video that I've already seen. But I follow a couple artists who only upload longer videos a few times per year and sprinkle in some shorts with stuff they are drawing in between, and those I like because its just a bit of extra content and now I know they are still around :D Maybe that would be something that works for you too, especially since you said you delete a bunch of the stuff you film, but I imagine there could be parts that might not make a full video but would work for a short?

Hi welcome back! I’m just going to write a long comment with random thoughts as I watch. Art block is the worst fr, feel like I haven’t really managed to get out of it for half a year. I prefer watching/listening to long format videos on KZfaq and TikTok is for when I want some mindless fun or when I’m on the toilet lmao Looking forward to the upcoming videos, regardless of how many there may be ❤ I thought I had more time to decide if I’m going to do a challenge for this October and I’m now realising it’s October tomorrow 🤡 Good luck to everyone doing a challenge!

Yessss it's official; my withdrawal symptoms have finally come to an end now that Kloodwig is back!

I did 2 inktobers in the past. If the goal was instill a daily drawing habit, then mission accomplished. The pressure to get stuff done on time and post it online kinda spoils the fun of drawing.

I’m doing OC-tober by bweird this year, I was enticed by their prompt list bc they actually assigned rest days so you can draw every other day if you want to! Nothing super fantastical, just drawing in my sketchbook. I haven’t been getting a ton of joy from drawing recently so I’m super rusty and wanna get back into a habit of drawing, also I’m nearly done with my sketchbook and it seems like a great opportunity to finish filling out the pages!

I have same toughts about shorts as you. I just don't like them. They're too fast cuted too much and chaotic to enjoy them in my opinion. I prefer long films like for 30minutes and more. I can't understand why creators are always apologize for longer videos 'cause I love them. Especially when they're one of my fav artist. Im so happy that you add a new film and I hope you gonna find some fun in doing inktober this year. But without a pression.! Take care and can't wait for new video!

I hate shorts and reels. My preferred time frame, especially with art videos, is between 30-60 minutes. I want to see full processes in real time. I don't mind SLIGHTLY sped up. The ones that are at max speed actually give me a headache and cause nausea. I can't watch super sped up videos.

not a big fan of shorts. they often feel a bit hectic and I prefer a bit more relaxed videos with less cuts. didn't like them in instagram either...never fwlt like using on tiktok because the recycled tiktok content on yt and instagram already stressed me out. too short for me to understand any new informations. plus I already have enough issues with getting distracted without using apps to further distract me. haha I prefer longer videos...

i was done with inktober years ago. all those (unemployed) artists who where shitting on those who couldn't finish inktober and felt like they where better than everyone else just because they posted a 1 min doodle every day made me dislike the community and the challenge so much. as someone who has a normal 9-5 job and does art as a hobby, it's impossible to finish inktober. like yeah i could scribble a stick figure every day but that's not the point of this challenge and i'm not worthless because of it. those people gave me the feeling that those perfect influencers give when they post a perfect day routine, with a smoothie at 5 am, gym at 7, meeting friends at 9, going to the hairdresser at 10 etc, not keeping in mind that they don't have to sit in an office all day to aquire money to pay rent and food.

I hate short videos. I don't have tictoc.
