"Work to a rythm, not to a click.." Man, as a drummer, I should tattoo that on my heart! Love it

I actually usually set up the time sig with 4/8 so that I can 8th note clicks. Makes it seem more energetic and generally results in more groovy tracks :-)

Daniel, your videos are super inspiring and give me the nudge I need even when feeling a little "less than" today. You come up with gold all the time with your voicing and musical choices and do it with confidence and ease. Thanks for this post!

Hi Daniel, love your videos! Was wondering, are you running everything through reverb / other effects in this video? Thanks so much!

Drives me insane that it's legato only...unfortunately I can't go down this path again...LOL Con Moto is so good and wanting more drove me insane.

This is an incredible library for sure. Love it. I do experience that bump you mention Daniel and it is worked out with mod wheel. Let us know if they plan to fix it. I doubt it. Do they release fixes ever?

Hi Daniel, cutting events at Bar one for events is not a Cubase bug. You can extend the focus range for events. Go to main Menu: Cubase -> Settings -> MIDI -> Change the Section „ Extend playback range for notes that start before the part“ from 0:00 to 120 Ticks and save it. Then you will pick up every event 16th notes before the first Bar starts.
@DJLA3 жыл бұрын
I wasn't referring to the note cutoffs at bar 1. Cubase has a bug where sometimes (particularly when using delay offset) a note that plays on beat 1 will get stuck as a held note for some reason (as if sustain pedal is held down) It only happens when starting notes on beat 1 and only to certain instruments. Havn't nailed down what causes it, but if I get stuck notes at bar1, its usually that.

Thank you for this inspirational live composition video! Your sketch proves that Vista is a fantastic choice for elevating, uplifting passages. The demos on my channel aim for the library's capacity to convey passionate drama. As an experiment, I've scored a piece twice, first using CSS and then Vista to directly compare them in a composition. Both definitely have their strengths. - By the way, your impression of the Ethera singer cracked me up!

The China invading live chat made me laugh, btw did you ever checked ThreeBody Tech's sound library, their chinese instruments sounds best foe me
@HyperNova1373 жыл бұрын
Instruments? They only have one... Does sound pretty nice though. A great-sounding full assortment of solo instruments is SoundMagic's CHINA IMPRESSION, uses modeling instead of just samples so you can adjust legato and vibrato in ways not possible with sample libraries (though I had an unpleasant time downloading it and figuring it out, English is obviously NOT their first language). That flexibility is pretty helpful for writing convincing lines on erhu and other stringed instruments in particular, and allows you to do a perfect mockup of the music you'd typically hear in a Chinese restaurant... But for the big ensemble / orchestral sound, Strezov Sampling and Orchestral Tools both are better options.

@@HyperNova137 Actually they've got three chinese instruments now, on their website at the bottom, change the language to "简体中文”(Chinese) and you will see

@HyperNova1373 жыл бұрын
@@ChaiMingze Is there any way to actually hear them in action? I found one youtube video that has the "Whisper of Loong" in the context of a metal song, but I'm equally curious about that "Lost Soul" flute... I can't find anything on that one, and as I said, the video player links on their website don't actually do anything, it's like they're just links to images, not video.

That sucking before every note drives me nuts. It's really a shame because the tone is some of the best I've heard but the actual sampling, or the programming is so sub par. It kills me to see a library like vista that has such an amazing tone yet be so unusable.
