Gaddammit Daniel!!!! Now I have to buy this too. But srsly, love your work, and thank you in perpetuity for demoing the libraries like you do. It really helps. Am ROFL at your reaction to Merethe. I've spent part of the day comparing to my existing vocal library legatos. And there's no comparison. Wonderful.

Phrase and articulation/keyswitch analysis EXACTLY to the point. EXACTLY addressing the phrasing issues and articulation selection choices that (at least) I face in writing similar stuff. I wish other presenters could do that. But they can’t...

I'm a hobbyist so couldn't justify buying the full JAEGER just yet. I just bought Nucleus Light for US$79 but then I specifically bought the JAEGER Merethe Solvedt library for $89 (even though I can't really afford it). It just blew me away.

Nice. When did you switch to Cubase from Ableton? Did you use external reverb or the convo reverb that's built into the library
@paulrussell79316 жыл бұрын
Hi Daniel, another great tutorial. I was wondering if you have any tutorial showing how you set up your template in Cubase. Also I see you adding a reverb overall. Would it be possible to show what you do there and the type of setting you use? I've bought a number of pieces of software after watching your tutorials and this looks like it will be another to the list :) Thanks again for posting.

This is the exact sound I am looking to get out of my orchestral compositions. I've been scouring the internet for the newest, best sounding strings, but between Jaeger and a couple other libraries to mix in, I've already got all that I need. Just going to mix in a few different articulation notes from Berlin, CS2 or CSS for variety and I should be good. Jaeger doesn't have the best bass strings, and needs to add in the planned legato for viola, but the raw samples are stellar. Lots of round robins too. Who would you say has the best, smoothest bass? I'd say Ark 1 but cant separate it from the 8va cello. Maybe I can LPF it. That gets impractical if the bass part goes up into cello range. Berlin has great bass.
@Metalpazallteway4 жыл бұрын
I feel like the library has a really energetic tone and vibe to it. But even the library having that notion, it reminds me Adventure Strings and Soaring Strings where I can only get limited round robin's before it sounds to machine gunnish.

That vocal sample is brilliant, but I have a feeling you're going to hear her everywhere from now on :) I wonder how much it costs to record and program just that part of the library.. like could they record additional vocalists and sell them as add-ons I wonder?

The suspended cymbal (swelling cymbals), which you used in CinePerc and piatti (from Jaeger) are actually different instruments, playing in different ways, so you can't achieve that swelling technique on piatti.

@@GO2CUT I think they will or already have issued an update regarding the Vocals. Also, if you got Jaeger in the latest bundle sale from NI, Audio Imperia have updated all their libraries with their new "Pyramid Engine" and have unified all their GUIs to look like the one in Nucleus.

You can unload articulations to reduce CPU & Ram Usage - at least in Kontakt & BBCSO. I pretty much have the same setup as you in terms of power, my CPU is a Ryzen 7 1700 :^)

I have a small problem. When I use the violin sound, I press a few keys, but only output an audio signal.How can I set the maximum polyphony?@Daniel James
@lukasstipar4 жыл бұрын
Are you using the Legato articulation? It is a monophonic articulation by default, but if you want to program it (bc playing it live is really hard) you can go to the drop-down menu where the velocity curve is and activate polyphonic legato and set a number of voices. All other articulations should be polyphonic by default. Hope I could help even if I'm a bit late :)
