love this video!!! i like Sketchy Path too. it's kind of underrated?

Thank you! I think sketchy path could be useful if it’s used selectively, but I felt like it was a lot lower yield than sketchy micro and even pharm, and after so many sketches I started forgetting a lot of things or mixing them up even, so I didn’t think sketchy path was as high yield and it seems like a lot of other med students would agree (but if it works for you, then ofc keep using it!)

I'm glad you reviewed sketchy path....honestly I cant remeber half of pathoma but can remeber sketchy path. I did a few things from sketchy path but I am still scared to do it 100%. At the same time doing pathoma over and over again is not helping me either

Hi! Sketchy does have a set of pathology videos available. I don’t feel they’re as good as sketchy micro or pharm, but they can be helpful especially if you target your weak areas.

Hey! To study for the steps early, do you recommend starting from Kaplan books and vids ? Then B&B with first aid ? Even though if my foundation is little shaky ? My school doesn’t do a good job at teaching. So do you think i should be k starting of with Kaplan, B&B, pathoma, sketchy and first aid with Uworld ? Thanks!

M H Kaplan books and videos weren’t really popular with my class, but I have friends from other schools that did use those resources (a lot of us used the Kaplan Qbank throughout the first two years though). I’m not sure how shaky your foundation is, but I personally would use B&B and Pathoma to learn from, if I were you, along with googling things you’re not familiar with. If you find lots of holes still, you could look into reading Robbins Pathology (if you like reading textbooks), watching Dr. Najeeb’s videos, listening to Goljan’s path audio, or maybe watching USMLE Express or Kaplan videos. I think First Aid is more for review or a 2nd/3rd+ pass through the material, and Sketchy is a 2/3+ pass type memorization tool, but they’re both valuable, so I’d interweave them into my studying progression as I went through the different organ systems (study cardiology with primary resources->review with first aid->do sketchy->do Anki->do practice questions).

Also I knew people that did Uworld while learning the material, but I’d personally save it for closer to dedicated, if not just for dedicated. There’s plenty of other Qbanks- Kaplan, USMLERX, passtest, etc to run through.

No problem! I didn’t use Sketchy for specific categories like surgery because it got too difficult to remember all the sketches and I didn’t feel they were as high yield. You’ll have to look around for those or ask your classmates, sorry- I don’t have a link.

Sketchy micro is pretty good. It really helped me to remember but it lacks the contents as u said. Otherwise it's a good source.

Not legally. Sometimes you can find it online on risky sites (some may have viruses), and some med students distribute it amongst themselves. I ended up paying for it

There is a lot of published literature on the benefits of ANKI and it's amazing efficiency when correlated to board scores for medical students
