"House of Pain" by Faster Pussycat and "Dont Close Your Eyes" by Kix both deal with sensitive subject matter and are well written songs. I think you would like these songs.
@adallen33 жыл бұрын
I second that Glen..."Don't Close Your Eyes" by Kix. Jamel get the lyrics before you react this because it is an intense power ballad dealing with suicide. To my knowledge this is one of the first songs to take suicide head on...saving one life at a time. Long live the 80's!

Killer album, killer songs!!! Best of all Skid Row's albums!
@craven19273 жыл бұрын
A highly underrated song by Skid Row is My Enemy off their third album. The album itself didn't do as well for various reasons, partly because of tension within the band eventually leading to their split with lead singer Sebastian Bach, and partly due to the change in the music industry as grunge took over. But that first track still kicks ass, it's worth checking out.

Thank you for this Jamel. My friends and I saw Skid Row as the opening band for Guns N' Roses in summer of 1991 at the Inglewood Forum. This was the first song of the set. There is no human language on this planet that is capable of describing how euphoric of an experience seeing them live was that day was. I am begging God that someday Skid Row will release the pro-shot footage from that concert. Great positive review, keep it up sir.

You really dove deep into these guys. Lots of good reactions. You hit on a big area of contention within this band. You said the music is louder or heavier than the vocals. Back in the day, Sabastian used to talk a lot of smack sayin the band couldn't play heavy enough for his vocals. He wanted to get much heavier and stated the band couldn't pull it off. I always thought the opposite. The band never reacted publicly from what I knew of. I think they were just the bigger men for not slamming Bass but I'm sure ultimately that is a big reason why they won't even talk about him now. What a shame they didn't just stick together and do what they did so well before. Bass was and always will be a handful. Funny, Sabastians' son Paris is such a mellow, quite, down to earth person. Polar opposite just about from his dad. Real good drummer too.
