This particular unit is a 2017 Summit Sp and is having the engine removed to replace the E-Mod. The job of removing the engine takes me about 45 minutes if I rush it and you end up with a nice easy to work on engine. No oil lines need to be disconected, will not have to reset my raves if I dont take them out ect.
P.S. Don't forget to unhook BOTH coolant lines on the head lol.

Dude, I started to laugh when it came out! Remember pulling the motor of an old 08. Y-pipe, carbs, reeds, that dreadful oil pump cable, primary, secondary, basically everything. Thanks for sharing! :)

Amazing how things have changed. Good ole 800 etec oil lines on the back of the crank case always got me mad.

Exactly ! I have done a lot of xp’s and this is cake. I may have an 850 to do so I watched this video. Excited to to it now. Leave everything on and no fighting with lines

An just like that. I'm glad I went backwords with buying used sleds of the laydown style. Easy to work and Last just as long and Not any different riding with new shocks.

Those old piles last longer but absolutly do not compair to the newer sled in any shape or form. If you think a 2000 summit with new shock and a 2020 summit are not any differant then you absolutly have not experianced the new ones. The old "lay down style" are just that, Old

I have a oil pump leak on my 850etec not sure if I can still use it or not

Did you have to pull the secondary before pulling the air box?

Ive never tried to pull just the airbox out but for the time it takes to pull the secondary I would probably just do it to save fighting with it. The airbox is a pain yo get out and in with the fuel lines and wiring all zip tied and hooked into it.

I have a top end to do. Dealer said 5k to do it. 😂 3k in parts. Should I just buy a new short block for 3200$ ?

Where are you going to find a shortblock for $3200? Thats a good deal for this year if we are talking Canadian money.

I have the same sled and my RightHand Member Assembly is broken like yours, do I have to remove the engine to replace that bracket ? the front suspension module seems ok.

Its way easier if you remove the motor but you can just lift it up. Probably take the same amount of time either way. Also depends if you want to rivet or bolt it back together

Not replaced no but have pulled a few apart for partout.

@Krzykyle2 look failry self explanatory once you get the motor out? I got an injector fault and sound like replacing the harness is a common fix.

You wont have to pull the motor. The injectors/engine has its own harness from the ecm. Not even that many plugs at all

Thats an easy one to lol. Most guys just cut the stator wires however which is stupid imo.

@@Krzykyle2 yep. Open the harness up. Pull the blue plastic out. Seen them cut many times though. That being said this looks way easier than rev or xp. Y pipe and throttle body’s still on. Nice

@@collinjhuls the 850 is easier yes. I pull Xp and xm 800 Etecs with y pipe and reeds still on too. Just the oil lines and vacuum lines on the back of the motor are a pain sometimes.
