Skidoo Tundra REV XU - Widening Kit

I will follow up with a review ride on how this kit helps or hinders the stability and ride of our beloved Tundra's :)
I'm predicting that some minor rear suspension adjusting will be needed once I feel it out.

On your rear suspension I noticed the inside idler wheels are off set from one another. Mine was like that too. Not sure why. I moved my left side forward in line with the right. I also move the fronts forward and added a set just forward of the rears for travel on hard pack, which is the norm for trails here in northern N.H. So far I'm loving my Tundra, looking forward to some more videos.

I installed a set of these on my Tundra Xtreme and the difference is nothing short of amazing. That extra 4" may not seem like much but is makes a world of difference.

Wondering if this improved turning ability and stability? I have tundra sport and find it tippy and hard to turn at times.

How does it feel when riding with the new ski widening kit, is it still tippy? I have a Tundra myself, I am thinking of getting the widening kit

I agree the tundra is tippy. How much for the kit?

Grant L it came to $263 CA after tax and shipping. Shipping was very quick, 4 days from order placement to my door. Very satisfied so far. I will do a review/test ride video of them soon.

It's an acquired skill driving a narrow sled. Once you find your balance, no need for widening the skiis.

Agreed, until you experience frozen hard packed rutted conditions, then wideners become your mistress.

Be careful when you purchase these ski wideners. I was told by Peak Boys that they would work on my 2010 Tundra 550F Rev so I ordered them and installed them. Following that I had to make track suspension adjustments in order to try and take some of the weight off the skis. (the wideners lifted the front of the machine 2") The machine now darts and dives and is impossible to enjoy. I called the tech staff and they now say that the wideners won't work on any machine older than 2013. I am removing them next week and going back to the original stock set up.

Why would you buy a tundra, then ruin it this way? Its meant to bee tippy so its easy to handle...

I just ordered the kit and stiffer springs for the front. The narrow tundra is great for the woods. Not so great when you hit a 60 yard long 16” deep lake superior slush hole at speed. Ive almost dumped it several times. There is a place for any mod. Its always give and take. Thanks for the video.

Even with the wideners, the skis are still narrower than the machine. It is still quite capable of going thru narrow trees. They make the machine much more stable, and steering it even tighter.
