Great review. Just grabbed a 2017 1.4tsi. Had 5 kids and a verso for 10 years. Learned a few new bits about portlaoise too. Loved the outtake thoughts. Keep it up, new subscriber.

Bought one last August based on the 50 reviews which say it’s the best all rounder in its category. Even the low-spec €40k has plenty of tech if you go for the 150hp engine. Will likely keep for 3-6-10 years unless Tesla Y comes in at a good price!

Hi Bob yeah I bought the same car in moon white metallic with all the extras but you seem to have the belero system there which is glitchy where as I upgraded to the Columbus 9.2 and don’t get any problems with the wireless apple car play! I had the superb before it so happy out there great cars the skoda over all.

Bob, always a pleasure to hear your opinions on cars. Always right. However I must respectfully suggest that the rear seats on this lovely vehicle render it NOT the best 7 seater family car at all. I desperately wanted one and the third row legroom is laughable. I hate disagreeing with you, I feel like Ive punched a kitten!

These cars are very popular here in Poland, if I did not have a Seat van with 7 seats and this engine already it would be one to check. Thnx for the info re mozarella. My recent pizzas with Irish cheddar were a blast, will see if I can find the ‘rella

The better question for owners in top spec form with a few options is very expensive now , so the better question with so much room would people choose the enyaq instead as there both massive but the cost of running will be the big difference do you really need them last to child seats?

That was a deal breaker for me. Anyone with kids under 10 (who have friends) them extra seats make all the difference. Plus the Enyaq is getting very “meh” reviews from the UK

I really like the Kodiak. Far more than any other VW SUV. However it is from the VW family and I can't forgive them for their criminal dishonesty that has demonised and virtually collapse the diesel car market, for new and used. Which is why I decided on a Kia Sorento. Is the Kia actually a better car than the Sorento, which you really liked a few weeks ago? I would put it at a fairly distant second. The Kia is a Volvo XC90 class car at a Skoda price in my opinion. The Skoda does have a much wider range of specifications and price to suit more people's budget of course.

150 BHP for a car this size is like feeding Hercules via a straw. And for 200 BHP car costing nearly 60,000 Euros, I would consider Korean ones which comes with a much longer warranty or German Brands.

Its a very underwhelming suv/estate..very underpowered too...saw a few of them in a car park...in no.way did they stand out...jst basically looked like your average every day estate's...its supposed to be competing against the big boys ..bmw x5 audi q7 vw touraeg..and so on ..but it jst doesn't..due to its 2litre engine...plain interior and controls and displays.....all it has going for it is its a good 7 seater..
