It’s not random at all when you think about it. The Doors have always been some of the most progressive thinking musicians out there and always utilised the best tech available to enhance their experience. I fully believe that if those guys were born today they’d be making psychedelic funky style dubstep kinda like KOAN Sound or unique psytrance like Infected Mushroom (I have no idea what Jim would be doing honestly.) They’re one of very few old school rock & roll bands that embrace the new generations.

8 years ago I was supposed to be at this event and the spotlight was gonna be on me and me being an extremely introverted person, wanted to run away and escape the event. I was listening to this song back then and it gave me this confidence surge I can't explain. That will forever be the day I conquered all my worst social fears and this song helped me achieve that. Jim Morrison predicted this would happen in the near future of music as he was saying in the song and he said that before he died which was 71. Jim Morrison is a god. I'm sure if the song was terrible he'd disapprove of this dubstep stuff but Skrillex makes Light My Fire sound fucking amazing. I remember when this type of edm took over every damn ear in the world. No matter how "obnoxious" it sounded, we all fell in love with it. Skrillex was one of the artists who blasted the dubstep subgenre off the ground.

Ray was a master of all things keys. I love how in the making of he hears the synth lines Sonny had in the scratch tracks and was like "okay...let's go back to square one" and then just started plunking out what would become the main riff. Also, ROBBY K!!!!

William Stubbert Lol. Yeah right. If anything Dubstep is growing. So are the other subgroups of Electronica. They are especially big in Europe. I honestly prefer Drumstep over Dubstep, but that is just me. I am not a fan of the rock music of today or the pop music of today. It has gone downhill.

A musical revolution happened around 2011-2012 and EDM slammed down HARD. Dubstep matured and it- as a genre- became more complex and respectable. We really haven't had much break the mold SINCE then.... Trapstep was around this time too. There's been NO new sound since. EDM and Dubstep has gone quiet since.... We still have Skrillex and Deadmau5 and Synthwave artists putting out unique shit but not as LOUD and mainstream as this revolution in 2010-2012 era... It's (this time period in music) honestly kind of interesting. I'm drunk. This isn't as well constructed as I'd like. I hope some people take this with a grain of salt and get what I'm tryin'a say.

Aww man I disagree! I think there was some stagnation for dubstep but Excision has brought it back to life recently. Excision started Lost Lands and Bass Canyon which have given fans entirely dubstep at music festivals and there's been an explosion of popularity of newer amazing artists and they all get to showcase their genre at these events. But I definitely love the old shit too :)
